Reviews for this Calendar date

Incubus' concert at the City Market was amazing. The weather was perfect. Well, as perfect as it can get for Kansas City in the middle of July. They sound great live. The vocals were clear and on key and all the instruments never missed a beat. It was a little crowded but Incubus is a great band and deserves all the support. I've been to two other Incubus concerts over the past 8 years they've been my favorite band and I'd say it came in at number 2 only because the number one slot still sends chills down my spine when I think about how awesome and amazing the intro was. Brandon is still sexy as ever and Mike can play a mean guitar. Maybe one day I'll get to meet them. Smiling

Until next show, Rock on!

Oh, The Duke Spirit was a pretty B.A. opener as well! I love her comment. "If you can't undestand what I'm saying, then buy one of our t-shirts!"

Love,
Nikki

For the most part, this show was incredible. Being up in the front was the most powerful thing I have experienced. I was hoping to hear some more of their new stuff live for the first time (I didn't buy monuments and melodies in hopes that this would happen), but I didn't get to hear much of it. That aspect was slightly disappointing, but other than that their show was spectacular. It's probably the closest I will have ever gotten or will get to the people that influence the most musically.
The only downside to this concert, really, were all the other annoying people there. Don't get me wrong, there were some amazing people up by me in the end of the show, but towards the beginning it just seemed like a giant gathering of drunks and stoners who had nothing better to do except bug all the sober people around them who actually came there for music. However, that aspect of concerts is always going to exist, sadly.
But I digress...I loved the show. Great live band. Sounded almost just like I was listening to the CD.

Live show as always rocked the house. They brought he energy at the City Market. I think most of the crowd was really into it, but a lot of people seemed to be on a date at a c**ktail party. My note to the crowd. Putting your girlfriend on your shoulders is a terrible idea. She can see better, but obstructs the view of 50 people behind her. This is frowned upon. It was great they played Redefine. But I will admit I was hoping for more new stuff. Punch drunk was good, but I was really hoping for Look Alive, vultures or Martini. And thought we would for sure get Black Heart Inertia, but somehow didn't. I'll admit, I dont get that. . All those new ones, I was really expecting a few more for this show. But the sound was great, they are great live performers. Hope they mix up the set list a little and make there way back to KC.

I had not seen Incubus live since they did a show in Lincoln, NE. This show was amazing! They are better than ever. They are the best live band on the planet and are truly great people. Donate to MYF and see the shows you will not regret it.

Incubus never fails to amaze me!!! It seems like their concerts continue to get better and better over the years. The set list was phenomenal (as it always is), wish they would have ended on "Aqueous Transmission", having everyone pissing their pants from relaxation! None-the-less, the concert could not have not been any better! I eagerly await the next concert in KC. Kudos to Incubus!!!

VIP

I got a set of the VIP tickets off ebay, my girlfriend and I will be meeting the band, I'm so excited I could almost jizz in my pants just thinking about it. I pre-ordered tickets as well and then found out about the VIP passes and decided general addmission tickets were not enough. Hopefully see you all there for an amazing concert peace and love

I am using much of my vacation time this year to see some shows.. Following my 1000 mile trek to its beginning in KC!!!! A couple years ago at the same venue there was a mad rush towards the stage as expected when they broke the slow pace of the opening act.. You will get squashed so if you are not a fan of dealing with that for a better spot I would recommend staying in the back. All tickets are the same as mentioned so no worries. See yall there

So I'm TOTALLY bummed this year that I can't go!! I'm pregnant and could pop at anytime so unfortunately I have to miss out...although as much as it hurts, it's worth it. Smiling FYI for all the people asking though...we saw Incubus last year at City Market and it was all general admission. There are no seats or rows or anything. It's just a big open area, first come first serve. So get there early if you want to be close! We got really close last year but got trampled so we had to move back! ANYWAY...everybody have fun for me!!! Sad

Me and 2 close friends are going to be driving down to Kansas City to see this all the way from a small town in eastern Iowa. This is going to be an awesome experience! I can't wait.

I saw incubus in st.louis 7/22/07 at verizon wireless ampitheare, realized they're playing kansas city & thats closer to where i live so im going to be going there instead. The st.louis show was very long and had an amazing enchore. But do you know how long the show will be in kansas city i heard it was short? is that true?

daniel

My husband and I are so excited, we have both seen some great bands live but...INCUBUS! I almost can't believe it, we are STOKED!!

OneWayFlight,
thank ya much. that helps a lot. =]

GA

Gahh, Pre-sale was a terrible experience. So is it a sure thing that all of it is General Admission..so the earlier you get there, the closer you get?? Yes?

Well, I never got my Incubus pre-sale code for buying Monuments and Melodies which kind of hurt, but I heard 96.5 the buzz is doing a pre-sale as well so is it true?...

I have talked with numerous people about seating at City Market. Basically, it's all general admission. Apparently the codes used (i.e., "GA1, GA2, GA3", etc) are for Ticketmaster's purposes only (for counting the number of tickets available--about 10,000 for that venue). I guess the best way to get up front is to show up VERY early and stand in line until they let people in. My understanding is the number on the ticket makes absolutely no difference for the KC show.

i pre-ordered the cd and HAVE YET to receive my freaking PRESALE CODE! When exactly does the presale start for KC??!!!!!!!

Hey Molly,

You should be able to view and download the extra content once you receive the code, included in the Monuments and Melodies album. The album is in stores June 16th, but I'm sure you pre-ordered it, as it will arrive by mail on or around the same date.

does anyone know how to get into the vault,, or is that not yet open?

got mu tix about two hours ago...but forgot to check in here.....

BUT ticketmaster still reeks of ass!

What sections did you guys get? Does the "section" matter? Are there any rules for seating at a place like City Market or is it "first come best seats"? Mine are GA4, but I don't know if that's any different than, say, GA2 or GA1.

Maybe they just got pissed at all of us for being obnoxious and just gave in. Good job, everyone! haha.

Pre-Sale is ON! I KNEW it would happen at 10 AM Pacific!

its up b****es

yeah,,, they have it up there now... and i found on that page that tickets are only gonna be $34? wow... that's reallyyyy cheap. i was anticipating about $120- $160, so that's really awesome, if that's right...

Ticketmaster updated the Concert sale to start Wednesday at 10 AM...

I just called ticketmaster again, and they told me that the date was wrong that the tickets are scheduled to go on pre-sale Wednesday @ 10 am and our codes will work. Sorry guys.

I as many of you have been hitting refresh on my browser for over an hour with no luck. I also called ticketmaster and got the lady to send an email to somebody wwho can fix this, but she warned me that since its a holiday they probably wont get it until tomorrow. Im pissed to say the least. I tired to call KC customer support 3 times and it just goes to somebodies voicemail. I dont know what else to do, I really dont have time to click refresh all day!!!!!

do they go on sale tomorrow? what time?

I tried and tried at 10am but nothing so I called ticketmaster and they said it isn't listed and it might be thru a different company. I asked why does the email say ticketmaster and lead me to ticketmaster and she had no answer for me! I'm hoping its the time that's the issue, but I'm guessing its the website! How do we get ahold of a rep from incubus to figure out this problemn. All I wis to see my boys in KC! Please help!

~Nicole

Ive looked at a couple other sites. some of them have the concert posted but there all labeled "tickets on sale soon" so i pretty sure there not for sale in any other places.

i e-mailed the service help, or whatever it is, at skyroo and they said to just keep checking at ticketmaster to see if it's put up... so that really isn't any help, but if anyone finds anything out,,, let me know, please. =]

Wow waited all morning to get my tickets now as everyone else seems to know the pre-sale is not till Wednesday. Booooooo

GA?

so stubhub has them at about 87 bucks. THEN they have a "main floor ga" for like 340 bucks. is there a difference or are they tryin to scam

no

No, it's the city market. It's all GA, there's no seats or anything.

omg

so...OTHER websites have them for sale. now, are all the good tickets going to be gone by wednesday? or will this code give us access to like special tickets or something

I've been looking all over the internet and have been seeing that City Market is a "general admission" venue for all concerts. I'm guessing this whole "presale" thing isn't gonna work out. Ticketmaster also told me that the presale starts this Wed at 10AM--not much of a presale if it's all general admission anyway. Sucks.

Yeah...and wasn't the Pre-Sale originally supposed to END on Wednesday? How did this become so complicated Skyroo?

i don't know what the hell is goin on, but somebody needs to work on their communication skills. i feel like we've all been lied to. ticketmaster can only redeem themselves by giving everyone free tickets. that would make my holiday all better again

Ticketmaster is a good choice though..........

but what if we decide to look in on Wednesday....and that date was wrong info.....and we miss it altogether.....

we all have lives and these pricks are leaving us in the air!!!

Thanks for ruining my holiday now im just gonna be angry and frustraded all day thanks to you two
