Make Yourself, the first album that I bought that I absolutely love cover to cover. I like to call this album the "Transitional Album". When I purchased it I was expecting a little more of S.C.I.E.N.C.E.... but what I got instead was even better. It was so unexpected, it litteraly blew me away. It was genious, great melodies, strong chords, infectious brumbeats and Vocals like I've never heard before. I think just about everyone has a top 5 or 10 Incubus songs, well three of my top 5's are from this album. That says alot in itself. For me this album conjurs up tons of memories from being overseas in Japan and Australia. On those cold wet nights sleeping in the jungles of okinawa singing drive with my buddies just to keep our minds occupied. To the day I got dumped by a girl who I really cared for, Incubus was there to pick up the pieces. *Sigh* Words can not express how much this album means to me except for maybe, "everything".

Its no Make Yourself but....
To me this album landed very differently on my ears than any of the previous ones. And thats a good thing, seriously. However, I just wasnt feelin it as much as I hoped to. It got a like to eclectic towards the end. I understand that music must evolve but sometimes I just want a little of the stuff that made me such a die hard fan to come back and make an appearance everyonce and a while. Dont get me wrong I'm not bashing this album one bit, hey I gave it five stars for songs like Dig, Anna Molly and Earth to Bella. But on the whole I really enjoyed this album and thank you Incubs for putting out another great addition for my collection....
p.s.
Incubus cds are the only ones that I still buy! *GASP!* lol o well.
