Went to Penn's Landing on the 8th-AWESOME! This was my 4th Incubus concert, and the best. The band seemed to be having a great time. Especially Ben during Le's Go Crazy. I think the crowd was a little crazy (and drunk) by the time they came out, but it made for a great time. I love that they played The Warmth. I love Ben singing back up. I think each member of Incubus is so talented. Very sexy, too.

This was my first Incubus concert, and I honestly had no clue what to expect--luckily, it was a million times more than anything I could have imagined. They are unquestionably amazing live; Brandon is pitch-perfect and Mike is a ridiculous improv guitarist. The show itself seemed a bit short from what I've been to, and they didn't play a few of my favorites, but the performance itself made up for everything (the acoustic version of "Dig" was totally unexpected, but obviously sick). Being less than 10 feet away from the band was one of the most surreal things I have ever experienced...definitely seeing them again in the future Smiling

Opening with Pardon Me set a tone for the whole show, from the very beginning everyone was going nuts, including myself. Wish You Were Here was absolutely amazing and the encore with the Warmth, what more could you ask for. I would pay any amount of money to see this show again, I've never felt an energy in the atmosphere like this show. Incredible.

Well, this is my third time seeing Incubus live and once again i LOVED IT!! They are amazing, opening with Pardon Me, one of my favs...i was really happy they played Redefine!! I absolutely love that song...I wish they would have played When it Comes, Pantomime, Clean, Glass and I could keep going on forever but I was very happy with the set list!! I loved every song, my friend and i were singing along to every single song. Incubus is and will always be my FAVORITE band EVER!! They put on a great show...Brandon is the HOTTEST!! His voice sooths my soul...he's amazing!! Mike killed the guitar!! WOOHOO!!! he's awesome!! besides me having a panic attack while the dukes of spirits were on, i had the best time. I was okay in time for Incubus so that was a big plus!! My friend and i were like the only people there that didn't have a beer bottle in our hand!! except of course for the underage people. I thought the crowd was gonna get rowdy seeing how many people were drunk, but i had a great time!! I loved that they closed with Let's Go Crazy!! and i KNEW they were coming back out to play THE WARMTH!! YAYYYYYYY!! You had a great view of the stage no matter where you were so that was a plus also. I loved it!! They are and will always be THE BEST!! WE LOVE YOU INCUBUS!! my bff and i had a blast!! i had to get a t-shirt even though they were $40!! i could've gotten it online for 17.95!! but i had to get one at the concert...you know how that goes!! lol...hope everyone had as much of a good time as i did!!!! They are AWESOME live...i will def be seeing them again!! I LOVE YOU INCUBUS!!

"Don't let the world bring you down, not everyone here is that f***ed up and cold..."

They opened with Pardon Me, my favorite song. Then their choice of the following songs was perfect. They closed with Let's Go Crazy, which was a brilliant idea. Though, it really would not matter what songs they played, I love them all and Incubus is just the best band of all time.
I laughed really hard when Brandon Boyd said "You Philidelphians are a rowdy bunch!"

Overall I thought it was a pretty good show. The set list wasn't too bad either.
The only thing to complain about really was that the duke spirit was extremely late and the crowd was nuts which isn't a bad thing but I pretty much got crushed to death and had to be lifted out of the crowd after on the verge of passing out....whoops.
The people in the crowd around where I was (which was up front) were mad chill and made the concert more fun. (except for a select few people who were rather blowsy..)
Overall I had an amazing time and hope to see them again!

By the way, does anyone have any pictures from last night?

(Thanks to the row of like 5 guys who made a barrier behind us the whole time and pretty much helped save me and the other two people I was with!!!)

Thought it was a great concert. They played a lot of good songs, except for two that were back to back. I dont hate Warning or Oil and Water, but those songs are weak compared to the others they could have played. Ended the concert with Aqueouse Transmission... then encore with The Warmth. Pure Excellence. Opened with Pardon Me which was a little suprise. No Vitamin, Certain Shade of Green or Sick Sad Little World... I was a little drunk but i dont think they played Are You In either... I am a guy who enjoys the not popular and "b-side" incubus songs (Crowded Elevator, When it Comes, Out From Under, 11 a.m., Punch Drunk). But i know since they released their Greatest Hits album they were gonna play majority of their popular songs. They threw in Redefine... it was stellar.
We got very close to the stage, the closest ive ever seen incubus live. Nice small venue compared to others ive seen them at. Beer was expensive at $7 for a bottle of Miller Light, I would have bought two if they were a nice size draft. Tailgating for 3 hours was fun, and watching a dude get slammed to the ground by an Agent was pretty cool. I havent seen incubus since 2004 when ACLOTM came out. I must say this is possibly one of my favorite times seeing them. All in all a amazing show.

let me start off by saying, i am 15 years old and this was my first incubus concert, although they have been my favorite band for years. also, this was my first time attending they festival pier venue.
ill give some pros and cons

i guess ill start with the bad news
there were definitely holes in the setlist. more should have been played. i must have heard 10 people scream for green and we didnt even get to here it. such a shame. more science should have been included and i would have loved to have heard things like make your self, when it comes, out from under, punk drunk, new skin, pantomime, pistola..i could go on. ahaha but basically, this was a completely greatest hits show and it even missed a few important ones.
now for the venue...well, i came 3 hours early so that i could get a good spot( which we did, but its not worth starting off at the front when your going to be pushed back anyways) . then had to wait an extra hour just to have the duke spirit on. while waiting, the crowd was completely obnoxious and it was an extremely unenjoyable experience. i was with two of my other 15 year old friends who have not seen incubus live and we were all being pushed around by older people. it was not fun
oh. and they should not have ended with lets go crazy. even though it was really good haha. and also the t shirts are ridiculously over priced.

k well fortunately there is a lot of good news too Smiling
this by no means will be my last incubus concert. they have secured their spot as my favorite band with their outstanding performance last night. me and my friends both agree that this was the best concert we have ever been too. surprisingly, the crowd was not much of a problem once incubus came on. we went to mosh during a few songs..megalomaniac was crazy ahaha. but anyways, they blew away my expectations. they are a hundred times better live than on a cd. it was almost unbelievable how perfect brandons voice was live. i even almost wondered if he lip synced because it was so good but then i got real and knew he didnt do that. mikes solos were sick. and well, it was just amazing overall. i am so sad that it is over and i cannot wait until the next one. if only i could convince my parents to let me follow them around the country ahaha. i screamed my lungs out to every word.
and the almost full version of beware criminal was great during the soundcheck. happy i got to hear that too Smiling

this is getting long but i think i should mention the duke spirit. i mean they were really good. the girl seemed talented and had a good voice, but obviously, we were all there for incubus and it was a bit frustrating waiting for them to come on. anyways i think ill like go download a few of their songs. it wasnt bad.

sorry about the numerous posts, they put a limit on length

I was pretty disappointed with the concert tonight. This was my 9th time seeing Incubus. I know what to expect and the level at which the band usually performs. My main complaint is that they didn't even play for 2 hours. I went with four other friends who have also seen them several times and they had the exact same thoughts I did. What they played was good but they didn't play enough. I honestly feel like Philly got a half of show plus a encore. Everybody has bad days I just hope next time they visit Philly we get the show I know they can put on.

Going tonight! leaving in about an hour to tailgate!! see you all there!

Emailed you!

I have a race in NJ this weekend, and was hoping to see the concert in Philly (coming all the way from Buffalo!)

How's this place set up? All lawn/standing?

I may need one extra ticket, so, are there usually shady scalpers to buy from?

Turns out 2 people bailed on me for the show on saturday so i have 2 extra tickets if anyone is interested. I know the show is sold out but if anyone is in need of 2 tickets, email me at jsadowski@studioseventy8.com and we can arrange somewhere to meet up or i can leave them at will call.

I saw incubus at the electric factory in Jan. 2007 and I waited in line for 6 hours in the freezing cold to get good seats and i also saw them at the festival pier in 2007 and i actually got there around 530 or 6 and happen to sqeeze in line by chance to get pretty close to front but I was just wondering how early are people going to stand in line? and also another question how long do you have to wait afterwards to meet them if they do come out?

I have been a huge incubus fan since the first time i heard them and this will be the first concert i've been able to attend. Even better is the fact that August 8th is my 21st birthday and about 10 of my buddies are going with me. We'll be there early with plenty of booze and if you see a really drunk kid screaming jibberish while being chased by his girlfriend then it's probably me. I'm absolutely stoked to finally get a chance to see them live as their reputation preceeds them i just hope i remember it.

hey so i don't know much about the venue, besides its near dave and busters. its been raining none-stop this summer and was wondering if the show would get cancelled by rain, or is the stage covered. and thinking about takin septa down- good or bad idea

So who's going to this? I got VIP tickets so I'll be up in Philly early in the day.

so this will be my first experience at festival pier and i was interested if the venue was completely general admisson, like are there certain sections according to your tickets? my tickets did show seat numbers, rows, etc. so i was a bit confused
also, what time would you recommend coming if you want to get realllyy good seats?
thanks Smiling

I love Incubus and can't wait to see them again in Philly. However, looking from other shows it seems they are not playing any of the B-sides in concert. It'd be wild to hear "Look Alive" "while the vultures feed" and such songs. That's is one of my only criticisms for the band.. they keep the same setlist for all their shows (or at least very very very similar). It'd be nice to see them feed of the energy and change up their shows like some other awesome bands do (Pearl Jam).

Just a thought but I still love these f***ers and can't wait for the show!!

i saw them here at festival pier in 2007.. and i was pregnant, so this year im partying!! tailgating is awesome, lots of young kids but still worth it. find me, ill have a HUGE rainbow umbrella setup behind my van.

after the show we stayed after and met brandon boyd... amazing.. (theres pics on my myspace)

does anyone know if the vip auction for philly already happen and end?

I saw Incubus there both nights & they were awesome! I do have to agree about the crowd...not so awesome! When they released the second date...8/6, I was lucky & got tickets, but the second night...8/8, I had to buy from some guy standing outside Festival Pier! Well looks like I might be doing that again this year! Sad I never have any luck getting tickets! Anyway, Incubus was amazing both nights but the venue isn't all that great! Beer in plastic bottles? Yuck! The beer was skunked! Well regardless I am finding a ticket somehow! See everyone there!
See you there Incubus!....but you probably won't see me lost in the crowd! Smiling

I saw Incubus at this venue in 2007. This was my 8th Incubus show and BY FAR the worst concert experience ever. I always have to be up front for them so my husband and I waited in line early to get a good standing spot. Well it was the hottest day of the century so people were passing out around me from heat exaustion. Then it got really bad because a lot of drunk idiots who weren't even hard core Incubus fans started knocking into everyone and pulling people to the ground. I have never experienced such a horrible crowd. I actually had to leave because I got hurt from someone banging into me. I still can't believe it was that bad that I walked out on an Incubus show! And they sounded great so it killed me to leave. We were going to be seeing them again in a few days in Holmdel NJ so that was consolation but I will not go back to this venue again for Incubus. If you go, just stay back.

I had a blast.

The date listed above was wrong... Thanks for fixin' it! Smiling The concert in Philly is Saturday 8/8/09 exactly two years later same date...strange huh? I had the extreme pleasure to see them at Festival Pier in 07 and it was fabulous! To those of you questioning the hanging out elements....come on it is PHILADELPHIA of course there will be parking lot parties. Me and my girls are planning on heading out as soon as we get up! The Pier is general admission, there are no seats or grass. First come, first to the stage! Unless of course you bid on the VIP packages and win! The last show did have tents with chairs set up where some of the bars and bathrooms were but they were to the side and had tvs inside to see and hear the concert. They also had the water misting tents because it was smokin' hot! As far as the actual stage set up there were NO SEATS nor GRASS but does it really matter? Who wants to sit at an Incubus show anyway???? See you all there!!!

This will be my 20th Incubus show!!!!

My tickets also have a seat and row number and stuff. But i thought that it was all just standing on grass? And it say on live nation that tickets will be available the day of the show. So can bring some buddies in hopes that they can get in too? And my last question for anyone who has seen incubus at festival pier before, Do people go and hang out hours before the show? Because I'm driving down extremely early in the morning to start my day in Philly. See you all there.

Went last year,
Probably the best show i saw all year. If your going i will see you there

Last time I saw you guys at Festival Pier in '07 it was amazing! I've been waiting for you guys to come out to Philly again, so I'm stoked. That was one of the best concerts I've been to, and your cover of "Stand By Me" is one of my favorite covers of that song.

Why does my ticket have a seat and section number on it?
i thought Penns Landing didn't have seats

I have seen Incubus at least 3 times now and I've been waiting for them to come back around! Just bought 4 presale tix!! Incubus is definitely my favorite band...

tickets go on sale to the public this saturday, may 2nd...but i saw "fan club members" can order presale tickets? is it this fan club or what? and how can i pre order them?!

i saw them when they came here in 07 and it was amazing.
it was so hot and crowded that everyone was dripping sweat, and i actually had to spend some time with some oxygen on in an ambulance.
but other than that, it was amazing. i got an autographed poster, got to take some sweet pictures and videos and got to get pretty close to the stage.

www.youtube.com/xlaurbarx

you can see some of the videos i took there. you can get a good sense of how close you're able to get to the stage and also how crowded and pushy it gets (hence all the shakiness)

The Incubus Concert in 2007 was one of the best I have seen. Of course it got annoying trying to watch the concert, and have the crowd pushing from all sides. Then by the end of the night, it was a challenge not tripping over all empty water and beer bottles on the ground. Still it was a great experience, and it also introduced me to the group "The Bravery", who was one of the opening acts.

When do tickets go on sale? Does anyone know?

I've never seen a show at Festival Pier yet. What's it like? Is there anywhere to sit down at all?

So we have the date and location but do we know the price and time? I didn't see it but I might have passed over it. Thanks for the warnings maggotmikey89 and makeme44 I hope its cooler there this time around lol.

I saw Incubus at Festival Peir the last time they were there it was a totally awesome concert just like always but it was easily the hottest concert i have ever been to there was people passing out and other people selling water bottles for 20$ it was insane but would i do it again for incubus? HELL YEAH!

i am a long time fan of incubus and have wanted to see them live since before make yourself. Every time that i planned to go there have been things standing in my way. This time when I heard about a tour and greatest hits album with presale codes, I jumped on board as soon as my computer would allow me. Then to make things more perfect they are coming to pa on my birthday. Its fate. I own "look alive" and also "alive at red rocks" and they are more than amazing. I extremely excited to finally get to see them live. Ill be the there, hopefully all smiles and not getting squashed by other fans.
DankyDanko

I went and saw Incubus in 2007 at Penn's Landing and i got a great spot in the crowd (about two back from stage, dead center). However when incubus came on the crowd went to hell and it developed into a tsunami of bodies pushing and grabbing, people pashing out from heat exhaustion, it got pretty bad. By the end of the fifth song i couldn't breath without having to jump up to catch some air. By the end of i was drench in sweat and was barely able to enjoy myself. If you do go, don't aimed for the front its not that great of a spot. This a place where being 20-30 people back from the stag is a good thing and you'll enjoy yourself a hell of a lot more.
P.S. I got to the place around 4 and there was hardly any ppl waiting until around 5:30, so getting there before then is a plus if your wanna get close.
