there break thru album but... i think it is a bit commercial and dusnt sound all that experimental still ace tho

coming off of S.C.I.E.N.C.E this album sounds like a dosage of comformity was thrown in the mix. don't get me wrong, i think its an incredible cd, the first incubus cd i ever bought, but i have to admit that it is the beginning of a whole new, mainstream incubus. but if this cd would never have been commercialized, incubus probably wouldn't be my favorite band. sooo, i guess its a good thing? love it anyway.

I couldn't decide in terms of 'best album', but Make Yourself has my alltime favourite Incubus song and possibly my alltime favourite of all songs. Drive. Next would come The Warmth, which has a great tune, and then Out From Under.

This was my first Incubus Album and when I got it, it was the only thing I listened to for about 2 months. I had never heard anything like it and i instantly fell in love with it. This album took me away from all of the bull during my grammer school years. So thank you Incubus for a terrific album with non-stop genius.

.....when it comes, it comes abrupt and it feels, it feels like trading brains with and imbecile....... for real..........

this is, by far, my favorite album. I really got into incubus around Morning view, but when I went back and listened, Make Yourself blew me away. It has music for every mood, and it gets me through anything. Though I appreciate all the music Incubus puts out, there is no doubt in my mind that this was the pinnacle of adoration for the band. Nothing beats a good day when you've made yourself. Great inspiration, great lyrics, great music, AMAZING band. ..... nuff said

This album is amazing! Drive, Pardon Me, Stellar, and Battlestar Scralachtica were the songs that got me hooked! Then I listened to the rest and I think it's amazing!

Definitely the album that introduced me to Incubus. Although not the best and by far the most "commercial,' Incubus had 5 other albums that keep me a loyal fan

by far one of the greatest albums of all times...just listening to the lyrics, their music takes you in a surreal world,where you can feel like YOURSELF...and i am referring to each of their albums here...they are all distinct but have a profound message within...

Make Yourself was a GREAT album!!!!! its my favorite! Pardon Me is one of my favorite songs by incubus!!!!

the title says it all...............LOVE Out From Under, it reminds me of Under My Umbrella...idk they both have the word Under in it......hmmmm........

it has most of my favourites songs...i guess that why i'm picking it...
but all the albums are great...
they're the greatest band in the whole world!

The critics say it's the best album, although it is not my favourite I can see why. The first five tracks are an amazing prog rock journey and the second half is just filled with great tracks. Classic

This is how I know Incubus. I remember hearing this for the first time and saying to my brother "thank you for showing me this band". I was blown away by the sounds, lyrics and music that was in every second of this album!
From then on...
I was Hooked.

This review I gave a 5 out of five for a simple reason that it is hard to come by a record that you can listen too all the way through with out having to skip songs to get to your favorite. Although there are 5 songs that really stick out in my mind on this record, it still goes to show that it is quality because most bands only make 1 or 2 singles on an album that are maybe worth listening. They went above and beyond. Not to mention Drive which actually hit #1 on the charts. This is a great record.

Seriously one of my favs. It was what turned me on to Incubus. Not a bad song on the whole CD

To me, Make Yourself is by far the Best album!!! I love "Pardon Me", Stellar", and Drive". "Pardon Me" is my favorite song ever. "Nowhere Fast" is really good too. With this album you can just keep listening through it because every song is awesome. I could not live without this album.

P.S. Awesome concert in Atlanta. "Why didn't you play "Pardon Me?"

I really can't say it any better... my favorite album by my favorite band.

This is my favorite of all their albums. I think this one has a more evolved sound then earlier albulms while still staying true to their style. 5 stars all the way!

I love this album! I just got it for Christmas and was listening to it in the car. I remember hearing Drive on the radio and seeing the video on Vh1 a long time ago... it was the first time i ever heard incubus, and i loved it. Over the years i forgot it and now it popped up again, with my older brother buying "Morning View" and here i am. Pardon me is an awsome song, and I love listening to Battlestar Scratchlachtica. Make Yourself owns, and Consequence, Priviledge, and The Warmth are definetly some of the best music I've ever heard.

It's hard to say i like any album by any band better than incubus - make yourself...Incredible album...

The only thing I can say here is: The "Drive" video is absolutely breathtaking! It must've taken forever to do but you did it and you did it with grace. Excellent drawing skills to Brandon and Jose... I'm glad that you two went to art school because this video proves that you guys have some SERIOUS talent. Not to mention the album is rockin'.

to me make yourself is the core-album of them all. these texts just talk out of the hearts and minds of so many of us and they seem to be the basis to the music of incubus. Thanx for this album! I know you were young and everything but that's maybe exactly IT! (the latest album - light grenades - really sounds like you're getting older guys!! so ...careful )

This album is an inspiration for me. The music is brilliant, but the lyrics of self-discovery and self-definition have been words I've lived by since I first learned them.
