I dont belive a poll can't actually said the real numbers, cause it's only open to those that can vote on the site.(meaning those that can read and write in english, and those aren`t all the fanbase..., and if we also count those that don't have internet access or time, numbers chance even more.)

how can you really decide which album is the best...let's see i woke up one morning to driveon mtv and have been in love ever since...i was 11 years old ten years later i still can't get enough...make yourself got me threw moving to a new town in middle school...my boyfriend and i fell in love over morning view 2 years ago at a local lake...he is also an incubus fanatic...we will both be attending the uncasville\mohegan sun show...and after a little break the two of us reconnected over s.c.i.e.n.c.e. incubus has influenced m life my style got me threw good times and bad and i can honestly say i would not be the person i am today without them and would not have found the love of my life without them! incubus thenk you for doing what you do and i hope you continue to make music till you are hobbling around with walkers and canes....i will be right there till the end...not going to lie tho i do miss the dreads and funkier music....and ben kenney it was cool seeing you up close and personal in north hampton mass.

sick sad little world is the best song on the best album

I find that the older the album is, the better (with the exception of A Crow Left of the Murder,) and it shall remain so in my mind.

Fungus Amongus was great-it had good beat, funky tune, hidden meaning (which is always good with me) and outstanding lyrics to boot. It would, however, be my second favorite. I love 'Trouble in 421', the lyrics to both that and 'Medium' always make me end up laughing. 'Sink Beneath The Line' always gets me at the end- "She should've worn underpants!" is the best line ever. 'The Awnser' always gives me a great time-hemp-and the words to 'Psychpsilocybin' can often be heard coming from my mouth. Fungus is, overall, a great start to a great band.

S.C.I.E.N.C.E., with much agreement from most all of the people I have driven to become Incubus freaks like myself, is probably the best. It includes all kinds of genres, and has different levels within itself. From hardcore songs like 'Nebula' (of which is one of my favorites) to songs with jazzy interludes and capturing lyrics like 'Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song)', S.C.I.E.N.C.E., as I see it, has a bit for everyone. I love the didgeridoo right from the get-go on 'Redefine', and I love how it ends with the Hidden Song. Even if it wasn't there, I still love 'Calgone', it's my all-time favorite Incubus song. Anytime I'm having a bad day, 'Calgone' helps me remember that it could always be worse. I could walk home in the rain and go home to be picked up by zetas. Fortunately that has yet to happen. Or at least the zeta part. I also enjoy the demos from this album, my favorite being that of 'Glass'. I love that song, but instead of a person saying "I wonder why?" there is a man saying "Oh my gawd! Is he NUTS?!", of which I find to be hillarious. I also like the demo to 'New Skin', it seems to my ears that there is more depth vocally, an edge that normal ears aren't trained to hear in the CD version, that of which can only be noticed after listening to the demo. My favorite demo, though, happens to belong to my favorite song, 'Calgone'. I love how it ends with, "Thank goodness for, the bathtubs and-the bathtubs and-thank goodness for, the bathtubs and SUDS!", which I love singing along to. Overall, this, as I feel, is their best, multi-genre album-specifically for that.

And next comes Make Yourself. The song itself is rather entertaining, but the album is wonderful. It was the first incubus album I ever heard, the first song being 'The Warmth', which to this day still stands one of my favorite songs ever. I am dissapointed that 'Drive' and 'Pardon Me' were the two popular songs off this album, as I feel 'The Warmth', 'Nowhere Fast', 'When it Comes', and 'Out From Under' have more depth and meaning. Maybe it's just most americans-excluding the few people like myself who aren't flabbergasted by long words-need a pop tune and something happy and cheerful (and excluding any obcene words, I might add.) After hearing the demos to some of these songs, I got chills. I love the technologic sound of the 'When it Comes' demo, and Brandon's voice is heightened by the robotic introduction. It seems that, in all demos I've heard, Brandon's voice sounds more natural, especially in the 'Nowhere Fast' demo. I guess I just like Demos. Make Yourself, as an album, I must admit, gives me a strong, happy, and overall good feeling. It's tied for second with Fungus in my book.

Then there's Morning View. Apparently most popular. I like how it reveals the softer side to Incubus, excluding 'Have you Ever' and 'Under my Umbrella'. I like how it begins with 'Nice to know you', as I find the introduction to be soothing, especially breaking into Mike's awesome guitar riff. Ending off with the nighttime sounds (from outside the house they lived in while recording the album, for those of whom don't know) after 'Aqueous Transmission' was geninus, too. I, personally liking the more hardcore albums, find that I'm not such in favor of this album, though. I love 'Under my Umbrella', especially because it gives me an invitation to confuse all the hip-hop lovers I know (which is a lot) with Rhianna's 'Umbrella' when being asked what I'm listening to. I like confusing people. In conclusion, I like this album, but don't find it to be their best, as is implied.

A Crow Left of The Murder. Long title, great album. It makes me feel the best after listening to it out of all the albums, even though it has the lyrics including the most wrongdoing and faults. But, as some of the other albums are all about the more postitives sides, I feel this is a good way to balance out the feeling of Morning View. If you listened to 'Just a Phase' and then 'Smile Lines', or 'Wish you Were Here' and the 'Leech', you would, most likely, feel in balance. I do. It does have differentiating meanings to each song, as does Morning View. The two go hand in hand. I do feel this album is underrated, but it might be because this is probably the least hyped album in the new age of Incubus music. It might be because Alex fans felt insulted. I did after I actually studied up on my Incubus facts, but after listening to Ben's solo work, I feel a greater appreciation for both Ben AND Alex alike. Anyways, this being the first full album I heard (as I only heard a few songs off Make Yourself before hearing the full album) I will always have an appreciation for it as being an opening to a new, more sophisticated self. I hope others learn to appreciate this album more.

And, finally comes the most recent (released) album, Light Grenades. I personally don't care for this album, as I don't really like the pop sound. As I said before, I'm more of a hardcore chick. And yes, to all of those who think I'm insane right about now, (other than my own thinking you're pretty spot-on,) I did call myself a chick. Anyways, I think that tis album represents the opposite of what Incubus is, as it seems to conform to the modern ideas of good music, consisting of a pop, happy-go-lucky sound and vocals over bass and so on. I think Ben and Jose should've stepped up on this one a bit more. I do like the song 'Light Grenades', however, as I like it's fast-paced nature. 'Dig' was one of my favorites at first, too. But, listening to it repetitively, I found I didn't like it as much as I thought I did. I'm dissapointed that 'Punch Drunk' and 'Look Alive' were omitted from all but the Japanese release (fueling my newfound dislike for the Japanese musically,) as I find that even after listening to them countless times, they still give me that good feeling that their older stuff did. Nothing from the actual, USA-released album gives me that feeling. Though, as I have listened to the two countless times, I find that they wouldn'tve fit with the album well, anyways. Maybe 'Look Alive' in place of 'A Kiss to Send us Off' or something, but it still wouldn't feel quite right. This is my least favorite album, even though I love them all for their own qualities.

But I do believe I'm forgetting something. What about the EPs, and the pre-Fungus songs? I love 'Bathe in my Snot', 'Miss Bliss', 'Damnation', and 'Pillow your Eyes'. They all have a strange sound, that of which actually sounds like some Incubus' newer stuff. 'Damnation' really reminds me of 'Black Heart Inertia' in a way, and in a good way, I might add. I also, of all the EPs, have only Enjoy Incubus. I love Chuck's face on the cover. I've heard many songs from When Incubus Attacks, both Vol. 1 and 2., and I love those, too. Concerning Enjoy Incubus, I really like 'Azwethinkweiz', as it confuses most anyone who hasn't read the lyrics over and over like I have. 'Version' is one of my all-time favorite songs, too, as I love the transitional phrases, and how at the end, as opposed to the softer guitar, the more heavy one comes in. Also, as I love bass, I feel it reveals the true nature of the bass. I can't point out any specific song I love from any other EP, but I find that the acoustic versions of most songs are cool, too.

In conclusion, I find that all of the albums are the best in their own way. Why seperate them? Each one has their own values and appeals to each person's different musical tastes, so why even ask which one is best? In my mind, all of them are the best. They're all from Incubus, and If you're even going to voice your opinion, you must feel passion for this one band. I know I do. Maybe someone's favorite differs from another person's, but in my mind, each album has a quality that gives it a right to be declared the best of all the others. Maybe we should ask ourselves, "What is your favorite album that represents your musical tastes?" or, "Which album is your favorite that has the best lyrical advancements?" I'll tell you my opinion on those questions-S.C.I.E.N.C.E. appeals to the genres I like, while Light Grenades has great lyrics. But, maybe the human mind is too broad to focus on one specific aspect of an album. Either way, even I have a favorite. There's no lying about that. But I do like each one for their own specific traits. Do you?

HELLO MY favourite band PLEASE VENGAN A CHILE AGAIN
LES LES LLENAREMOS 10 VECES SI QUEREN EL ARENA MOVISTAR
PERO VENGAN PLEASE

PLeAsE. Come to arg

I can just remember being in middle school and buying an interesting looking CD from that "pardon me" band at The warehouse (which is now out of business like every other music store).
I put thing in my CD player and I just couldn't stop listening to it all month long...and years to come.

I love Fungus Amoungus and Make yourself but SCIENCE just has a musical maturity and refined awesomeness about it that is undeniable! come on IDIOT BOX and REDEFINE are just beautiful and the way it all goes together is ...just....great. I just hope they hit us with some certain shade of green at the Hollywood bowl show!

Im very surprised that not many guys prefer the funky explosive album of Fungus Amongus. I'm definately a fan of their popular albums, I love Drive, Sick Sad and The Warmth just as much as the next guy, but I'm hoping to hear something off their older albums to really mix it up and pump the crowd. Trouble in 421 would be immense to hear, that solo transition into the final chorus really makes the hairs on my back stand on end. Speak Free, The Answer *cough* hemp *cough*, Psycopsilocybin, Sink Beneath the Line, Medium all great tracks in my mind, with hilarious lyrics to boot.

So, I just previewed "midnight swim" on itunes and I have to say it sounds amazing!!!...nothing like the track from the "look alive" dvd, but maybe they've just expanded upon that track...go check it out!

It's great to see how the guys and their music have matured, evolved and are FINALLY getting much deserved recognition as one of the TOP bands of our time. Can't wait for Monuments&Melodies and to see them 8/5 in NYC!!!

the first time i heared that album when i was in yogyakarta (the one of beautiful city in indonesia) i'm in pursuit a girl who make me so wild...hehehe at 4am while the others still sleep i'm riding on my car to searching any kind of place where i wish find her. "consequences:, :pardon me" are my companien in that conditions..eventhough i never met her again but thats memory always surrounding me while i listened that album..

Incubus is one of my favorite bands ever and the only albums i have are s.c.i.e.n.c.e., make yourself and a crow left of the murder but i'm gonna get the new album even though i've heard othe albums by them i'm gonna have to stick with one of the three i have so i picked a crow left of the murder it's like s.c.i.e.n.c.e. if that and the other old albums like enjoy incubus, fungus amongus i'd say s.c.i.e.n.c.e. and also probably my favorite incubus song is stellar and that's from make yourself but a crow left of the murder just has that fresh recording and stuff that incubus has done before and haven't so i'm going with a crow left of the murder

Make yourself is my favorite album, closely followed by A Crow and morning view. Sadly, i think A crow left of the murder is underrated, which is sad becuase it has great songs like sick sad little world, beware criminal, and southern girl. With that said i think each album has a great unique quality and they are all awesome. Black Heart inertia kicks ass as well, just proving that incubus can stand the test of time and they are one of the greatest bands ever.

Incubus rock my socks!!!!

Best band in the world, listened to them since i was born haha!
Choosing the best album was hard for me, but it came down to my favourite song... Pardon me!
Amzing song, with a lot of meaning!

Make yourself baby!

P.s. come back to the uk!!!!!
My friend (Another huge fan) walked past Brandon in London, but inmstead of stopping to talk, he just stopped and stared as he walked into the distance whispering his name!!!!
Man what a loser

Peace y'all
Incubus 4 life haha <3

There will be no foreplay! Rest assure they'll screw you complete till your ass is blue and grey =]

WTF!! yeah fungus amoungus and science were freakin amazing and i would love to hear them revamp fungus. but one of the reasons i love them so much is their versatility! i agree, stop being a B****!!! the only song that i dont like to listen to by incubus, i repeat the only one, is stellar! EVERYTHING ELSE IS GOLD!!!!!!!!!!

i really couldn't decide. i mean fungus amoungus is very original and they wrote when they were SOOO young. but morning view has so many hits on it. the make yourself is so diverse and S.c.i.e.n.c.e. blows my mind(especial track 12) light grenades has so much work behind it and just flowss so well.
but the winner was a crow left of the murder. the first incubus song i ever heard was megalomaniac, and that album is what made me love the group.

over 80 songs n its hard to find a bad one Laughing out loud but yh, i heard an idea that made me pretty happs: REMASTER FUNGUS AMONGUS! IT WAS AWSOME XO !! anddddddddddd, well yh yeh, incubus rock the socks

PEACE

At first I couldn't decide between Make Yourself or Morning View. I mean, Make Yourself had a huge impact on me based upon where my life was and how the album altered my perspective(s) on living. *not trying to steal your thunder 360buddha, I'm not trying to steal your thunder*

But, to me, Morning View was a growth upon Make Yourself both lyrically and musically. It seemed to compress more into the songs, channeling in a more direct and yet subtle way. In the end, Aqueous Transmission is why I chose Morning View. It's just sooo beautiful, and such a departure from songs they ha created before.

In the end, I'd choose all of the albums if I could. Not only do I own them all, but they're essentially a time line for the band I appreciate so much. Without the artist(s) we would not be able to appreciate their work(s).

I will be attending again..Bought the Make Youself Foundation Meet and Greet passes last year...wondering if you are doing it again? Hella show last time!!!!

oh and just for future info this isnt the place to bash incubus so get a brain in that head of yours the next time u "try" to use Smiling :) Smiling :) Smiling :)

This is for the ass a couple of comments down but excuse me a REAL Incubus fan wouldnt sit there and b**** and be critical about the stuff that they're doing now cuz a true incubus fan( like me) wouldnt give a s*** if they started running around in pink tutus on stage as long as they're real and write their own music who cares and if all u gonna do is b**** then go and find another band to critize other wise shut up cuz noone wants to hear if u dont like them then why do u have an account ? dumbass yea they have changed a lil bit over the years but so what, everybody changes: its life you grow and hey ur judging them but what makes u so great? as long as im on this site, i dont want to see any of the stupid s*** like that that spills outta ur head on to the computer okay cupcake ?

Sincerely,
Quit ur F****ing whining

I want to see you again in Colombia, please come back with monuments and melodies !!!

Love u guys !!

???

What are you holding on to 1997??? They've changed and evolved as a band. They still play tunes from those records live, but they're also making new tunes and I for one, hope they never stop. They haven't sold out; they've grown up...maybe you should too, or at least let go of that thread you're holding on to bc nobody wants to read your b****ing!

--
-JP

Why has Incubus sold out so hard? Why are they denying Fungus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E ever existed? The new stuff all sounds the same and its too mellow lets go have some red wine and make love in the park. Who cut down the shrooms? Where did the raw intensity go? The sound has changed and matured but they are not a day time television band. INCUBUS NEEDS TO RE-RECORD FUNGUS AMONGUS GANGSTA-QUALITY AND PUT IT OUT. I GUARANTEE MORE REAL INCUBUS FANS WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THAT COMPARED TO WHATS BEING PUT OUT NOWADAYS. JUST DO IT. JUST GET YOUR REAL BASSIST BACK AND DO IT. IM HANGING ON BY A THREAD.

Only a few words............IS IT AUGUST 8TH YET????
Gonna be a great show. Gotta love fiestival pier in Philly. Gotta go up by boat, the only way to get there!!!!!

Once I heard that song it inspiered me to hear other songs and thats how I found out of Incubus. My bad luck was that about a year ago Incubus had came and I couldn´t go to the concert because I didn´t know about you guys.Since that I showed the song to some of my friends and one of them loved Incubus! After he got Light Grenades and he showed the songs to another friend and he know likes Incubus.(Lol after everyone will like Incubus) Now I am learning how to play guitar and I want to learn how to play some songs of Incubus. Also keep going Incubus! If you listen carefully at the guitar, bass and the vocals melodies you'll see what I mean.

Agustin (from ARGENTINA)

i get why morning view is considered the best album. but personally, make yourself completely changed my life. from music to love to living in general. make yourself is more inspirational to me than any bible or religious text.

I am grateful that Incubus made it at the Araneta Coliseum last year, it was a standout performance! - sadly, I wasn't there to experience it. I had to check my colleagues' video clips of the concert just to have a peek, to feel the event.
I'm looking forward of having another chance to experience Incubus' music (hopefully at the same venue again) with their upcoming album. With that, I just wish Incubus will consider Philippines, a part of their list of countries to promote their new album.
I just love all the albums (though my fave was the Morning View), thanks Incubus for making great music!

Enjoy Incubus

in my opinion having bought every album including the EP's they should of made a poll saying that all records are equal in the sense of how "good" they are i think each record has its own unique recording style that puts you in every mood you want to be in, every album astonishes me because of how different they can sound but also keep the incubus tone and rock that i value most. keep it up and call me anytime brandon, ben, mike, or chris.. 905 995 2749

I would have to say that all albums are musically genius. Their earlier albums are more true to what some fans may call the "incubus essence" but that is not necessarily true; that 'essence' has in fact changed and evolved bringing us amazing albums each time that continue to keep Incubus fans speechless. That said I have to say that I am a relatively new Incubus fan. I first found about them when Light Grenades came out and I completely loved the record, however completely unaware of the musical wonders that came previous to this record I did not 'do my research' until last year. The previous year I had the pleasure to see them in concert and I decided it would be best if I knew most songs by the band for the concert, it seemed appropiate. I went off and bought Morning View the special edition with the Morning after sessions dvd and I have to say I was completely blown away. I started looking back and discovered that they are in fact one of the best bands out there, and personally my favorites. Not long after I bought the 'Look Alive DVD', where performances such as Sick Sad Little World amazed me even more.
This is why it is challenging to pick a favorite; every album is different and innovative in its own way. But If i had to choose one of the bunch I would say it would have to be definitely Morning View, this album combines so many things into one, it is the type of album you have to listen to completely because it is incredibly varied and just plan genius, going from songs like Nice to Know you followed songs like Just a Phase or more acoustic ones like 'Mexico' and ending with the intriguing 'Aqueous Transmission'. This album is an evolution itself. Hats off for Incubus on this and all of their records.
Also I would like to say that you guys have to come back to Costa Rica soon. I think you mightve noticed how much love there is for you since the band that came before you in the Festival Imperial were on the verge of being thrown off the stage because the crowd was incredibly anxious for some Incubus! Please come back. One hour of Incubus was just not enough. Well Kudos to you and every Incubus fan out there.
