I have always enjoyed Incubus. The first time I heard them was S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (Vitamin), I was at a buddy's place and asked to borrow the CD. After I listened to it multiple times, I did research that led me to check out Fungus Amungus. Then, around that time, Make Yourself came out. That album spoke to me on so many different levels it was sick. Plus, to have seen their evolution of musical art progress to where it is now has been a great experience. I continue to feel touched and inspired by their music. Some may say they're selling out, but I say they bought in and are growing up/have grown up. A rolling stone gathers no moss, and they are definitely not stagnating.
;D* Keep making the killer music guys.
torn...
At first I couldn't decide between Make Yourself or Morning View. I mean, Make Yourself had a huge impact on me based upon where my life was and how the album altered my perspective(s) on living. *not trying to steal your thunder 360buddha, I'm not trying to steal your thunder*
But, to me, Morning View was a growth upon Make Yourself both lyrically and musically. It seemed to compress more into the songs, channeling in a more direct and yet subtle way. In the end, Aqueous Transmission is why I chose Morning View. It's just sooo beautiful, and such a departure from songs they ha created before.
In the end, I'd choose all of the albums if I could. Not only do I own them all, but they're essentially a time line for the band I appreciate so much. Without the artist(s) we would not be able to appreciate their work(s).
