INCUBUS is by far the greatest band that has ever created MUSIC! I began listening to their music when Make Yourself was released. I was instantly addicted and I loved it! That album really started to get me thinking about life in a way that I really can't explain. The lyrics were in my head and heart, and the sound had engulfed my entire soul. To this day I swear it is so because like most members in the band, I too am born in 1976, and I too am an artist(although my art is very similiar to Boyd's...I am a little more partial to mine, no offense B.B, you are still the man). I guess my top three favorite songs are: Nowhere Fast, When It Comes, and Make Yourself. When I had first heard Morning View only about half of the album was hitting me, and I just knew it could not be so! In the end it took about 2 days before it ALL made sense to me and I could not get enough. I can not exactly remember what was going on inside my head because it has been quite some time, but nonetheless Incubus had delivered once again(still wonder how I could have ever doubted). Morning View again had spun out the same effect as Make Yourself, but this time around it was cleary different...yet the same but BETTER. Once the album took a hold of me I couldn't let go. I listened to Morning View until my c.d skipped from a zillion scratches and then I bought a new one. Top three tracks:(this is difficult) Circles, Just A Phase, and Echo. By this time I was aware of S.C.I.E.N.C.E, but only a couple of their songs was I able to listen to(I'll get back to this later). I feel that most Incubus fans did not give Crow the recognition it deserved. Crow to me sounded like a blend of Make Yourself, and Morning View wrapped into one. This album had buzzed me instantly, and after it had been released, it was to date their finest piece of work. So I began to notice a pattern forming. Every album Incubus had created was better than the last one. This album spoke in volumes and tested their depths as a group(considering that Dirk was gone and Kenny had made his arrival). I feel that this album was also closely rooted to the bands origins, whereas they went back to the beginning sounds similiar to S.C.I.E.N.C.E. Top three: Beware! Criminal, Smile Lines, and Leetch. (Still absorbing S.C.I.E.N.C.E). Then comes Light Grenades, and the pattern could not be farther from the TRUTH! This is seriously the greatest album ever created(PERIOD)! This album clearly affected me in many ways. Mostly emotionally, and independently. It begins and ends with pure perfection. I REALLY do not want to get into details but let me just say that after me and my girlfriend BROKE UP, we had always promised to see each other on a certain DATE in time to finish unfinished business. Light Grenades came out a year or so later, and A Kiss To Send Us Off...said it all(not sure if you caught that...oWell). My three favorite songs are: Light Grenades, Oil And Water, and Rogues. By the way S.C.I.E.N.C.E is truly an incredible album(but I am sure YOU already know this). This album is filled with high energy and super sick lyrics. I am truly a FAN in every aspect! I know they will never dissapoint, and I am fortunate that they have found one another! We as fans are trully BLESSED! Can't wait to hear what's next...(8^D).
