I really liked that song Liz covered for the talent show...yes, watching the show is a guilty pleasure of mine. Gonna check out Band of Horses now.

Hm, I got into them from watching My Life As Liz on MTV, lol
If you watch the show, you might've seen an episode where she sings on stage in the school talent show. The song she covered was a Band Of Horses song titled, "The Funeral."

I love them :> They're really like, mellow? I usually listen to them when I'm writing papers, lol Smiling

Awesome Lovedig!!

Btw....just saw Muse this past Friday. The show was AMAZING. First off, Silver Sun Picksups were great!!! They opened with my favorite from Swoon, Growing Old is Getting Old, the amped up the crowd by talking to us and ended their set with Panic Switch. They sound real good live. I was impressed.
On to Muse.....they sounded fantastic!!! And they did such a wide range of songs.....which I was really hoping for. They played Hysteria, Feeling Good, Maps Of The Problematique (I nearly had a s*** fit when I heard this one because I was praying they'd play it....it's by far my most beloved Muse song), Starlight - which they let the crowd sing the chorus to, Time is Running out (flipped again for this one), and Stockholm Syndrome which was SICK!!!! And of course they played songs off their new album too. My seats sucked majorly but overall, I had a great time listening to them perform.

GAHHHHHHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED.

Did anyone give that song I posted a listen? I wanted to know if 1) any of you recognize the song and 2) whether you feel that my love for it is warranted. Am I strange or can anyone else see the awesomeness in that song.

Anyway, I just purchased the latest from Silver Sun Pick Ups because I'm lovin their song Panic Switch and they're opening for Muse, which I'm going to see on March 5th..Yay.....so I wanted to get more acquainted with their music. Have to say that I'm seriously lovin what I'm hearing.

Edit: The song Growing Old Is Getting Older .....the drum and base in this one gets me. Love it. And I'm really feeling the lyric...."memorized your smile lines"...listening to it right now...and I truly love this song. I'm bubbling with excitement at the possiblitiy of hearing them performing it.

RoRo-chan
That happened to me before with the song Two Princes by Spin Doctors!
Loved the song (when i heard it in dollar tree) but didn't know who it was. xD

hahaha, yeah Beyonce's songs are typical pop music but oh well, I've been listening to her since Destiney's child when I was like 3! =P
but she seems like a good person who really truly does care about her music =]

--
Get out from under them. Resist.Unlearn.Defy

The only thing I'm not a huge fan of that Beyonce does, is that stupid cell phone commercial!!!
"LEMME GETCHA UPGRAAADE" *bust a dance move*
Sucha dumb song...

Picture the scene where whatever you thought, would in the blink of an eye,
manifest and become illustrated.

I'm kinda on the fence regarding Beyonce......some of her songs I truly like.....others I truly can't stomach....but I will say one thing about her......she knows how to entertain.....her performance at the Grammy's was pretty hot......especially loved when she went into You Oughtta Know....pretty cool.

Arvid: What?! I thought you of all people would be well versed in Radiohead. I LOVE them....love the moodiness and melancholy tone present in so many of their songs. So excited that they're working on a new album and I hope they tour in the US cuz if so....I'm there.

Question....have you ever heard a song, loved it and could not for the life of you find out who sang it or even what it's called? This happened to me with the song I've posted below. I used to hear it all the time when KROC was aired here in NYC, then I saw it performed on a reality competition show much like American Idol....only it was a rock version. And just recently heard it for the first time in forever on the only rock station in NYC that plays old and current tunes. Anyway, I was watching a documentary on Fuse last night and this song was in it! I finally found out who sings it.....Dramarama....it's called Anything, Anything.....and for some reason this song makes me nuts. I warn you....it's an oldy....the album was released in 1985.....give it a listen and tell me if you know it and what you think.

Arvid-kun!
I told you Radiohead was awesome!
BUT YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME. lol jkjk

SHINee = <3
the GazettE = <3

BTW, Arvid-kun, have you listened to GazettE yet?
Listen to these songs:

Maggots
c**kroach
Discharge
Before I Decay
Mad Marble Hell Vision (the video is freaky as s***)
Nausea & Shudder

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Just like Kels with RHCP, i'm basically discovering Radiohead just now!
I always discarded them cos they were too mainstream. But DAMN, they do have some epic songs.
And now I can't stop listening to them. Sticking out tongue

--
Arvid.the.man.who.laughs

All Time Low and Mayday Parade are crap!
Same with Panic! at the disco, Cobra Starship, Dir En Grey (yes, even though they're visual kei, i still think they're a huge ripoff of gazette), Linkin Park!

OH, MIND I SAY JUSTIN BIEBER?
He is so.. OMG, I can't explain how dark my hatred for him is!
xD

--
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Yeah, good point. Def. sounds like pop to me! Did you see Beyonces performance the other night on the Grammys? She's awesome....

I've been drawing a lot lately and I like to listen to music that doesn't need attention. If anyone needs music like that, check out:
The Mercury Program
Air (Brandon actually recommended Air in an interview I saw a long time ago. Check em out, they're kinda weird but so cool)

@lovedig
yeah i didnt kno they died the same day either until like last week I went to Layne's wikipedia page and saw his death date i was like OMG!! That's when Kurt died tooo!!!! =O. . .they also both OD'd on heroin. . . .=/
yeah i'm not into that music that my friends listen to, my sister thinks im weird cuz im not into it and that im being a "poser" and a rebellious teenage. . .seriously?? WTF?!?! Uhm, yeah. . .Noooooo!! I'm doing something called BEING MYSELF!!! Is that so wrong?!?! >=/

@Amber
You kno the bands All Time Low, Mayday parade. . .those crap type bands?!?! That's what my friends listen to and OMG so ANNOYING. . . .lack of talent! I mean what genre are they anyways??

I was on youtube, went to music, went to rock. . . .Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato were the top ones. . . .O.o
Sounds like POP to me. . .i like pop, i do. I like Britney spears, Beyonce, but dont get pop mixed with rock, there's a BIG difference. Just cuz you have guitar in the band, doesnt make you rock.
