naz:
Your very first concert?
Hey ya'll, hope this wasn't posted before, but after going down memory lane with Phoenix about my very first concert (1982 Queen, Detroit,MI), I thought it would be fun if we all shared our first ever concert experiences.
Queen was amazing, brought down the house, Another One Bites the Dust esp. stands out in my mind. It was when Freddie used to parade around with a British flag on like a cape. It was a sold out show and it took forever to get out of the arena, not that we wanted to leave; and boy do I miss Freddie, RIP.

My very first concert was one of the RHCP on 26th november 2006 in Frankfurt (Germany)
It was just amazing and I'd love to do it again (right now!)

I'm a little compulsive (as if you couldn't tell) so I have to read everything that has been posted since my last comment and then I will comment again.

Oh yeah, I didn't notice that, they must've traded places.
Well, by the time I was gonna get those Feb. 2 tickets, they were too expensive for me, I gotta admit, Then I heard Brandon was sick and it got cancelled and felt so bad.
So, you can imagine how excited I was to at least get to see them at Pine Knob.
Cuz, didn't they schedule a May show too, that was also postponed cuz of Mikey's hand?

"Come on God, do I seem bullet-proof?"
hey, Naz

did the flag offensive and add new reply
trade places?
anyways
you must've had originally had inc tickets
at the state theatre for Feb 2nd?
we were so bummed we were on our way
down when we got a call from a friend telling us
it was canceled .
the presale I think it was in November. You get something
that far in advance and then they postpone it til july
I was so bummed we were on our way
down when we got a call from a friend telling us
it was canceled .
That would've been even better then pine knob
smaller venue up close and personal.
but I do like a summer concert.

I think my first proper gig was incubus at the manchester evening news arena around the 14/15th may 2004. It was an 18th birthday present! I think Brand new were supporting. Then 3 or so weeks later I went again, and hundred reasons were supporting! x
My first gig was the Virgin 2002 festival at Staffordshire (England). Was AMAZING! I went with my parents and sister, I mainly wanted to see Nickelback
I was about 14/15
First Incubus gig will be on the 14th June 08 at Download festival
:D:D:D I can't wait!!!! I'll be 21
Almost saw them four years ago, at the MEN Arena in Manchester (UK), but I had to into hospital for major spinal surgery
the op got cancelled but I couldn't get tickets for the gig :'( (op and gig were on the same day) was sooooo gutted
But yay!! Get to see them at last!! I can't put into words how much it will mean to me - I'll never ver forget it
Fee x
I wonder what I'd have to do to meet Incubus when they come back. x)
(give blood?)

Yeah, I'm gonna need it, Sherry. I thought when bought the tickets online for Incubus, I had the quickest fingers in MI, obviously not, we were like, row Q, middle section, almost to the end of the pavillion, but it was still f***ing awesome, Lmao about your daughter!
--
"Come on God, do I seem bullet-proof?"
That is why you find the venues with General Admission only. Front Row every time.
--
"So f*ck yourself and f*ck this bleeding heart of mine"
good luck on those tickets Naz...
I let my husband do the online ticket purchasing
he is much faster at it.
we had relatively good seating for Incubus at Pine knob
I think we were like 11 rows back LL or something or other
(my daughter and her friend were getting tickets for it too and we didn't
know it, their tickets were better. they were like 4 rows closer)
bastards...I let her take my camera for closer pics

All Police songs.

"So f*ck yourself and f*ck this bleeding heart of mine"
Wow, I hope I can get tickets. When I was in my teens, I actually cried when I couldn't go to one of their concerts, but then I did see Sting at DTE when I was, like 10 years older. He is so awesome too, cuz his voice is like a fine wine.
Heather, did they do all Police, or some Sting solo stuff too?
--
"Come on God, do I seem bullet-proof?"
I saw the Police last summer. They are amazing.

my first real rememerable concert was when my mom took me along to Lollapalooza in 2003.
Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro, Audioslave and more. But my fave was Incubus. We had
front row seats and like that wasn't f***king awesome enough.......one of the security people
asked if i wanted to come stand by him right by the stage. Hell yeah i said yes! Thanks mom
and security guard!
My first concert was gig on the green in erm, 2000 i think. it was in glasgow with eminem, marilyn manson, hedpe, and others. i drunno like i was pure steaming for the whole thing. underage drinking was the best.

wow, what a trooper Roger Waters was, what a man!
--
"Come on God, do I seem bullet-proof?"
My first concert was Roger Waters when I was like, 16. It was in August and it was pouring down rain, it was like 55 degrees and we were at an outdoor venue. It was thundering and lightning and they had to make the opening act stop playing for over an hour b/c they were afraid someone would get electrocuted. The minute the guitarist put down his guitar a huge bolt of lightning came down right on top of the stage, split into two bolts and one hit each side of the stage. The guy looked like he sh*t his pants!! So a bunch of people were leaving the venue b/c of the rain and b/c it looked like the concert was going to be cancelled and all the security guards took off so we ended up watching the concert from second row instead of the lawn. After about an hour Roger Waters came on-stage said "F*ck it, you came to see a concert and I came to perform" and started his set. It was amazing.
