Let me say, I am not much of a traveler, I have a paradise here on 5 acres, nothing much gets me out of here. Despite that I had every intention of coming to see your exhibit for my birthday the 18th of September.

Hurricane Ike came and struck my plans down. More than one, I live on Galveston Bay : ( Things got hairy but I am blessed. I thought my life has returned to normal.....and then on 94.5 the BUZZ

met you guys in MN, loved the show. however, your incompetant security let these two beligerant drunk ho's (probably fleishmans) step on my nuts repeatedly. One almost got escorted out, but im overall thankful for the righteous brothers/sisters and their support around me ("thats the b**** right there"). Kinda wanted to slip some lotus offering to you's guys/gods backstage, then thought security might get the wrong idea (or jose would run off/torch/ruin the set). PS: I was the tall stoned guy w the short girlfriend.. ya know, deer in the headlights look? muahahaha

Truly Mr. Boyd is an amazing artist... an ocean of art... a good way to describe it. because an ocean cannot move without the wind who can control the waves to guide the ship... but any notions of the ocean you've previously had could prevent your motion... because a motorboat can't go far without the ships that carry it forward... I'm a big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean because not all pearls are white and sometimes flying is important... even to a Dutchman... and everyone assumes a maelstrom that opens is a sign of destruction but sometimes the waters have to open up for the true heart of the Dutchman to take control of the ship... because Buddha said the rocks are enlightened and you must be enlightened to be like a rock... and sometimes you look to the sky to save you like Dave Grohl but the true stars of above already surround you... because for anyone to be a true rockstar they must understand both... because the Muse that inspires the world loves all your pretty songs... and they don't understand what he means when he says yeah... so to you all I say this... whoot whoot... yeah... les ride that soultrain...

i have the murks of the sultry abyss and some of the paintings in the book were at the exzibit it was so amazing to see them in person and upclose i feel so lucky to live in L.A if i didnt live here i wouldnt have met brandon twice and see his beautiful artwork! i have been a fan since they first started and will continue to be forever.

ya know since saturday w/be last day of the ectoplasm xhibit i may just have 2 swing by once more - everything was so beautiful, interesting, strange etc. i have 2 get another fix (i couldn't seem 2 tear away from 'smoke'...) - brandon, could u not b so damned talented???

I wish I lived in LA so I could see Brandon's art work in person. I hope that he does a tour and stops here in Philly.
I checked out Mr. Musichead's web site and they had a few of his pieces on display. So awesome! Does this mean

I went to brandon's art exhibit opening on the 8th. I was really blown away and stood impervious to the rest of my surroundings for about 5 mins when looking at one in particular. Just wanted to say I love the art work, and I really can't wait for a new book to come out!!! Is one in the works? I hope so!

Dear Brandon, Chris, Jose, Mike, and Ben,
I am a guitarist from salt lake city utah, I am deeply in love with music, so much that i moved out to california to go to musicians institute. I don't know if you read these personally but i would hope you do, because your fans really want YOU guys to hear what we have to say.
My girlfriend and I love your music to an unreachable extent, (she is a drummer) and I just wanted to say thank you for giving us the inspiration to becoming a wonderful and insightful people and musicians. I love your work Mike... to a great mass!!!
But if you guys would be so kind as to e_mail my girlfriend, who is still in utah waiting for me to return, or for her to move out here, which maybe quite some time, send me or her an email just saying good luck to us.... it would mean everything, and i mean everything to us...

I went opening day. Brandon was not there, he was at the invitation only opening the night before. Sam, the owner, said that he *may* just drop in during the exhibit run time.

Just when I thought Brandon couldn't make me any more impressed, there he goes. His art was fascinating. The only down side is that only 3 of his works were for sale, and only prints. He had some really interesting, head scratching work. I loved his use of Bruce in a couple of his drawings. And the one where he quotes backwards "Always and always, the other world is this world rightly seen".

Congrats on your exhibit Brandon. We are all very happy you decided to share your art with the world even more.

this art show would definitely draw crowd. brandon's talent would be an inspiration once again to many incubus fan and this mean probably (hopefully) will result to new book volume 3. i wish i could fly to cali to see your exhibit. sigh.

In one of the music magazines that have written articles about Incubus (a couple of years ago) I came across a line where Mr. Boyd described himself as the most boring guy of the band. Well, I wouldn't call a person who writes fine lyrics, uses a wonderful voice to sing great songs and creates other amazing artwork boring at all.

I also love drawing and painting as it is a fascinating way of expressing feelings and making fantasy come true at least on a piece of paper or other material.
