The title pretty much explains it all. Just another junk album produced by big labels to appeal to young people with money. And they bought it. Good job big music. Ya ruined another good band. It's so hard to criticize such a good band. They've had their good ones and their bad ones but i have to be honest as a music lover and musician myself and say, "This just doesn't cut it". And people always tell me that' they're growing as a band and the music is supposed to be different. Well ****in' duh! I want them to change. I've admired incubus as a band because every album is one in it's own. But that doesn't mean that they have to give up good musical fundamentals that are present in all good music today and in the past. I was this same way with ACLOTM, until i heard songs like 'sick sad little world' and 'here in my room'. They're just good jams to the point where there's a good balance of nice lyrics and those time where the music just needs to take off. On a lead. Maybe jose throws a few tricky rolls in there. You can hear the bass slap a few places. Substance, god forbid! I don't really care. It was musical. It wasn't forced to go any which way and when it was time for a transition, it was made perfectly. That's what incubus was and has been about all along. But i don't hear the "musical body" to this album anywhere and i've tried. I listened to it all the way through 3 times and i can't find it. So to be honest with you and honest with myself. I'm go to have to give it a thumbs down. Your money is better spent. But if you would like to download illegaly then by all means do. Go back and find a fungus amongus album or science. That's where it's at ; )
