So, I wasn't aware of how the crowds are at a general admission concert and was in for a surprise. I got kicked in the head by a crowd surfer, shoved around relentlessly, and elbowed in the ribs. But I also got three rows away from the stage and was ringing my shirt out from all the sweat by the end of the concert. I wouldn't have had it any other way!! Thanks for a great show guys!!! I've seen Incubus 4 times and this was by far the best show yet!!!
A friend of mine that came with me said that it was the best preformance he had ever seen, since he didn't listen to much Incubus. (I bet he will now!)
Thanks to Incubus for a great show in Cleveland. I realize that I'm a little older than your usual fans, but I dig your music. It was so hot out and I moved around the arena to get cool and everywhere I went people were singing and having a good time. Thanks again.
Best Incubus show I've been to (and that's saying something). The energy from both the crowd and the band was just awesome, in the truest sense of the word. It was about 98 degrees and humid, even after sunset, and you know? I couldn't have cared less about those kinds of negative things. Every bit was worth it. What an amazing show. Just incredible. There are just certain moments in life that you can't explain, certain experiences you go through yourself that you can't really relay to other people unless they went through it with you, and this was one of those moments. It was really something else. I never thought I'd be surprised, really, by how good a concert it would be, seeing as I'd been looking forward to it for months; but it was even better than I thought it'd be. Maybe it sounds like all the other reviews, but I can't imagine anyone who was actually at that concert would disagree that it was incredible - and incredible beyond the normal incredible-ness of an Incubus concert. It was, cliche and over-the-top as this sounds, almost magical. I won't ever forget that show. They played everything from "Vitamin" to a cover of "Stand by Me" (wow?! yeah.) and ended the encore with my personal favorite "Aqueous Transmission". I certainly agree with the person with the review above mine. The only way the show could've been better was if it had gone on longer.
I've got to tell you right off the bat, when Incubus comes back, there is no way in hell I'm missing them. I don't think any show I will see after this one will top it. The energy from Brandon Boyd, rest of the band, and the crowd combined was absolutely amazing. When I was there I felt like no matter how different we all were, the simple fact we all loved Incubus brought us together. The way the band played just made you feel an amazing connection. I just didn't want the night to end. It was a surreal feeling to look around and see all the people completely into the music and singing to the words. I couldn't remember the last time I had felt that happy, and the effects are still lasting. I absolutely loved the cover of Stand By Me they played and I wonder if they just played it at a selected few shows or all of them.
PS if anyone was at the Cleveland show and got pictures I would greatly appreciate it if I could get some sent to me, thanks.
