Albertina, you clearly didnt understand what I said. Maybe you should know your role, and shout your mouth you lil p*ssy b*tch. The tour manager told me to wait, and told me not to disturb the band nor talk to them which I did. So being a good person and following the rules, I waited for like a long time just to get a picture because I thought that the manager had the time to ask them for one picture....But he didnt... they just left me hanging. Like I said, I'm a hardcore incubus fan and always will be. Even though they left me hanging I'm still going to like them. Also I didnt judge any negativity about the show, because the show was awesome no questions ask. So next time, when your mouth is running checks and your ass cant cash...think before what you type b"tch because that's not going to get you anywhere in life...
ben was sick in beijing on his birthday and the day before his birthday!
he dont even got a gift from his fans on his birthday even i prepared him one but never got a chance to give him in person.
he said he would spent his birthday in shanghai and didn't want a cake for sure.anything else would be fine!but he never showed up in shanghai...
poor lil babe...
anyways he had a great time in malaysia...
other members just did a great rare acoustic show.i attended all their concerts in China plus singapore.
i had a great time during the concerts n in the backstage.they r all f***in nice ppl.totally worth the money.
the concert was great!
nothing can deny it
ballaboy3!u r such an idiot cos u didn't say anything to incubus members if u say sth or want to take a picture or u waited for over an hour they will come n give u what u want
thats what i did in singapore, beijing n shanghai n brandon, mike and ben---they signed all my stuffs patiently also my friends'
just cos u sick f***in dumbass didnt know how to tell them what u want, they just didnt know u existed
so stop complaining here just go think bout how dumb u r.
Generally speaking you can't always have everything you want and eventually will have to accept what you can/can't or will/won't get.
I've never seen them live in concert except for youtube videos or the look alive dvd.
In may the band will supposedly hit the stage here at the Landgraff festival however all tickets with availability ranging from Netherlands, Belgium and Germany are sold out so I don't get to go and see them play live.
Generally speaking you on the other hand have seen them live and here you are with a shower of complaints about the concert/set they did.
Accept what you did/didn't get and appreciate the fact that they travelled halfway around the world to even show up for you to see them live.
If you enjoyed it i'm sure they thank you. if not? then you should read the sentence below in the story you can find under the BIO tab on this site.
i've been listening to INCUBUS way back the 90s and I've been dying to see them perform whether it be acoustic or not. You guys are indeed LUCKY for having seen them perform both on different occassions.
It was unfortunate for ben to be sick that day. It wasn't their intention to play an acoustic show in the first place. KEEP AN OPEN MIND!!! You simply don't know how to appreciate music. INCUBUS has always kept the art coming... they've never been restricted into anything when it comes to music. Maybe you've expected to much from them that you forgot how good it feels whenever you listen to their songs. I'd love to see them play an acoustic set because it is intimate and I know it would make me feel closer to the band.
i think that you guys should give credit to the band for still playing despite benn being sick. im sure it's not just a mere excuse. Ben would really play if he can.. but i guess his condition was just worse. spare them the mockery and unecessary trash talk. Give them A+ for effort. It was a one of a kind concert, if you guys think about it.. an acoustic set!! they barely do that so please commend the band.
For those of you around the world, the concert here in Shanghai was not what it was expected. The organizers hung a small poster saying the bass player was sick. I though they were going to replace him. They played an acoustic set of make yourself and morning view, it was cool. Still most of the people wanted some distortion, then the drummer and the dj came out, they played some songs but they were empty.
At the end I asked a bouncer what happened he said the bass player got food poisoning - the oldest excuse, my first faking ability since I was 4.
CHINESE GUYS WE KNOW HOW SMALL ARE YOURS, FOR AT LEAST GIVE SOME FOR YOUR BRAINS... INCUBUS IS A GREAT BAND U SHUDVE SUPPORT 'EM... JUST GIVE GIVE JUST LYK THAT... ARROGANT s***OES...
I went through the trouble of creating an account for this website simply to call Incubus out on a ridicullously uninspiring/c**ky performance in shanghai! No bass, OK you got a great DJ who can rock, use him.Why tour if this is the effort you're going to put into it? From what I can see you showed up to China and took the crowds for granted and I hope you've lost alot of fans because of it. You certainly lost me!
that's who you are guys to our minds! yes you folks who are planning to boycott or encouraging others to do the same! it's a shame that INCUBUS had to go there, play their beautiful music and you bunch of sewer rats would just walk away! I HOPE THEY WON'T GO BACK THERE EVER! and all you guys can have are lame ass F4 or 5566 gay a$$ concerts!
you obviously don't know music..go eat your noodles and carton filled dimsums!

" about a hundred years ago now, thought i was left for dead "
I have been a fan for 12 years now, and this was my second time to watch them live. I won in a contest to be an backstage to help out with lights. sound effects, and to meet the band. Even though i got to see the band backstage, they didnt even say hi or anything. After the show, i asked the tour manager if i could get a picture with them. So, I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes backstage just to get a picture taking with them, than they came out with 4 groupies and just walked past by me and said nothing, and so did the tour manager who completely ignored me and knew i was sitting outside their baskstage rooms for 1hour and 30 minutes. So being backstage wasnt worth it....I guess they care more about their groupies than their fans. I'm still a fan and always will be. But ofcourse it really hurts the fact that you guys just walked pass by a fan who cared about your music for 12 years....
TOMMYGEE: glad to know you had a good time,. if only i can afford to go there, i would! INCUBUS playing acoustic sets doesn't happen that often nowadays. Show like this is really rare. I envy you!
I don't get it, Ben was ill, so they played an acoustic set. A post here is questioning that. I quote "why decide to have a complete acoustic set?" I mean, you are complaining that they played an acoustic set, and you said yourself Ben is ill. What is it you wanna happen then?
For me, you guys are really lucky to have the chance of seeing them playing an acoustic set. It's priceless!!

A life shared is a life worth living
I Just got home from the shanghai concert and yes the bass player was missing. Brandon and Mike played a softer set which had a lot more of a personal feel and this was also due to the small venue and proximity to the band (My 600rmb ticket landed me in the 4th row). I really dug the acoustic sound and brandon was fantastic live!!!! I'd pay double to see them live again in shanghai with the full group going at it hard but on this occasion it was great. Tracklist was quite good, although myself and a few around me were a bit bummed that Megalomaniac was not played! and i personally would have loved to have heard Dig but i enjoyed everything else all the same. Great concert guys.
C'mon guys don't boycott the concert tonight. Ben's ill and that's why he won't be able to attend tonight's show to give the audience the best Incubus sound for y'all. We also felt the same way when Incubus only played 17 songs for us cause it seemed too short but we have to respect them, Jose was feeling sick that time so give them a break! Have some f***ing sympathy for Ben, it's not like he wanted that to happen, on the day of his birthday!
You're even lucky you'll get to experience an acoustic set of Incubus since that kind of thing BARELY happens on any of their out-of-the-US shows. They've been doing shows non-stop and the least you can do is support them not hate them...
Well, okay.. your decision to not go, but I am telling you if only I can afford to go to Shanghai right now I would so I experience an acoustic Incubus. Don't waste the opportunity!
I can only agree, don´t go to the Shanghai concert, it will be only a waste of money, doesn´t matter if you pay 280 or 600 Yuan, its not worth it!!!
It s a pitty that Incubus, once upon a time such a amazing live band that I went to several concerts on one tour just to enjoy good music, isn´t worth it anymore!
really guys don`t go there, don`t support them anymore they don`t deserve it due to arrogance!
I am really sorry for you all!
ah...incubus guys I hope you had fun after the show in Beijing, because there was a lot of time to enjoy our fabulos city due to that you finished your "concert" before 10.
Beijing is nice, isn`t it??
Shanghai Guys, I can tell you coz I was there: the Beijing concert was really a s***! I was really disappointed coz the expectations were quite high....
Ok, bad luck since the bass player was ill but why decide to have a complete acoustic set? And only 1h of music??
Hey! Fan from back in the day living and working in Shanghai...pumped to see you guys on the 13th...saw the roots in the same theatre, not the greatest for a show, but I'm sure you'll bring the energy!
Hope to hear some of your classics off of SCIENCE....

It was good show, a bit short but still good.
That show last night in Shanghai was my first time to see these guys perform live. I'm fan since more than 6 years, and I love the incubus music.
It was good show, a bit short but still good.
I'll go next time to colorado to see incubus show at red rocks.
