I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...

I was confused and misdirected on what I should believe in and I was following the wave of bubblegum pop when, during third grade, I came across such poetic verses in the rhyme and rhythm of 'Drive' that had me turn into a convert. The floodgates of enlightenment dawned on me and soon enough, 4th grade had me singing along to 'Wish You Were Here' that made me fall in love with this band even more.

Incubus brings a good feeling of being different and going against the norm because I know that I don't have to be like those other people who keeps on jumping from one bandwagon to another to fit in. It gives a sense that in some cosmic connection, some people, 5 guys actually, are behind you in your belief that you don't have to fit in to fit in.

Amidst the changes, the revamps and the farewells made in the band, they have constantly proven that they are good at what they do because until now, I haven't gotten tired of listening to them and following them in their revolutionary movement, so to speak. Their lyrics still make a great impact on my growth now that I am crossing from puberty, adolesence and "innocence" into the real world.

I'm sure that anyone who is afraid to show their true self may find encouragement in Incubus' songs. "Don't let the world bring you down, not everyone here is that f***ed up and cold." Incubus isn't and I know it.
