Inspiration
What intrigues me most about Incubus is their unique ability to be creative in their own way.Their music never really falls into any category, it is original. How do people gain such creativity? Their music, their lyrics and Brandons art and books are all amazing.They seem gifted.Can anybody gain artistic abilities like that or are you born with them? I feel that I was born artistic but events in life have caused my abilities to slip away. Now I live in a fog of confusion, I cant seem to find to find the motivation to make myself. By the way Im not insane for all those who suffer with ignorance, Im a 19 year old who had to grow up too fast.

you are still young there's so much in store for you, believe it or not but there are many people who have the same exact thoughts as you have right now, what's good about all of this is that you know that there is something missing or that there are a lot of things you want to do "artistically" speaking, well, its never too late to start practicing, nobody ever starts out perfect.

never limit your self. we all have many gifts. and the plan is subject to change. ten years from now you may feel gifted in other areas for example parenting. or speaking. your so young , give it time.

the warmth
I believe each person is bestowed with a certain gift. Incubus and Co. were blessed with the gift of artistic talent... Writing, drawing, creating music-- all wonderful things to have. Not everyone is blessed with artistic talent. Who knows? Maybe you're a marvel in the kitchen and that's what gift was given, or someone who can knock a ball right out of the park when stepping up to bat-- or something many people don't consider a gift: compassion. There are so many little gifts that most people overlook. What is something you're really, really good at?

I think it is something that you are born with as well as something that needs to be nurtured. Any gift or talent needs to be practiced in order to flourish.
