New album sound
Eventually another album shall be made by incubus. Out of all the previous albums, what sound would you like them to go back to? I dont want to hear anyone say that they would love a new sound, cause thats obvious and a cop out answer!
What old school sound would you like them to go back to? I would like a make yourself/ morning view sounding album.....
cheers

"For every one thing we're ignorant of
a thousand more things beat the maze"
does anyody know who engineered the "make yourself" album?
science would be the greatest. if they could bring back that type of music i'd do backflips
"when will we be new skin"
I like older SOAD. I didn't like mezmerize and hypnotize.
Don't even get the conversation about the greatest hits thing started again. Look for the original post suggesting that. I think greatest hits albums are for sell out bands who have nothing better to put out b/c their music is now..... crap. They are great for someone who doesn't love a band and who only likes the singles but that's about it.

I liked the hypnotize and mezmerize Albums... I thought they were very political correct... dunno SOAD Never let me down with an album. Musicwise I think they are a political band and nothing else, probably if you dont share what they think you wont like them, I do. About the two album thing, dunno Im not much of a Fan about it, thinking about goint twice to the store two buy the Cds actally brings me down a bit, lol. Although its a better idea than for exemple making a best of... I hate when they do that. I think its a waste for money when you got their albums already, but its a good way to get to know the band if you have no idea who they are.... I actually do that sometimes, buy a best of album of a band that i dont know and see how they are.

"...Im Counting UFO´s..."

SOAD= System of a Down.
I didn't mean they suck in reference to concert likability, I meant the whole 2 cds thing sucked a*s.

I actually think that if they do new album ight now theyll do somethng like LG, and ill still love it, i do love te album. If it has to be something from the past ill ove another makeyourself album, Its so powerfull.

"...Im Counting UFO´s..."
i agree with 2bjesscool!!!
2 cds would be awesome
i love all their albums.
so, no matter what sound they'll go for,
i know and believe it'll be great! >_<
And you're right, rainbowswirl
they've definitely gone down the tubes.
i saw them live a couple years ago.
you'd think after so many years of being a band they might finally have the whole "live show energy" thing figured out.
they just stood there.
it was a huge letdown.

Hopefully it wouldn't be lame like SOAD.

what if they recorded 2 new cd s , one for mainstream/ and one for the hell of it. please something new and different and exciting. not a formula song but experimentation. lets pretend its 20 years from now what songs would we hear.

the warmth
Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be brilliant and incredible.

Most of the recipes that have been
previously stated, are appealing
Since everyone is doing a recipe .
a little bit of Morning View a dash of
Science. A smidge of MYF. Sprinkle on
some ACLOTM.
It will be cool, whatever dude
--

It would be crazy cool if they could compile all of their old sounds into their new album,
but if I had to choose, ahhh, dang, I would probably choose a base of Make Yourself with a hint of Enjoy Incubus, and a pinch of Light Grenades

I love the album "Light Grenades", but when I think Incubus, I think "Make Yourself". I always will. I'd love to see way more of that and "Morning View" than anything else

"I haven't felt the way I feel today in so long it's hard for me to specify"
We may never hear another album exactly like S.C.I.E.N.C.E, but there will always be elements from that album and all the others on future releases.
I must disagree with Mistress, I would prefer more things like LG than ACLOTM.

oh yeah !
i want a new cd so badly
right now !!!!!!!!!!!
and the sound won't ever be the same
they're evolving u know.
so we won't hear another s.c.i.e.n.c.e or whatever !

"You Are Stellar Mr. Boyd"
"It's Time We Met & Made A Mess"
those ingredients would make one hell of a sound!
im game for that!!!

om mani padme hum
I'd love to see more "Make Yourself" or "Morning View" with a sprinkle of "A Crow...." and maybe a hint of "S.C.I.E.N.C.E" and a pinch of "Fungus Amongus".. very easy on the "Light Grenades" (even though "Pendulous Threads" is one of my favorite Incubus songs right now.

"life's a match in a gas tank
don't ever mourn the ebbing tide
just dance on fire and enjoy the ride"
I think they have headed a little too far from that vibe to go back.
--
"Dreams are necessary to life." Anais Nin
I like to see them make another science like album
That's what the last few albums have been, a combination of all previous styles.

Morning View's the best
its got the relaxing "are you in" and Aqueous Transmission on it
along with heavier Nice to know you and Have you ever
but then if they get rid of songs like Warning off of it. and 11am
and replace a couple of songs like Southern Girl and dig ... yeah
a huge mix of everything they've done so far all in 1 would rock

\oo/
Morning View.

I have to agree with you there, although I'm sure I'll love anything they do
