Brandon Boyd song?

Brandon Boyd song?
No votes yet

So I was looking around on wikipedia and I noticed that there is a song called Brandon Boyd by an artist named Sacha Sacket. I finally found the lyrics and can't figure out what he means by it. I get the make yourself reference, but I'm not sure how to take the song overall. Per wiki and other posted info about the writer, they went to school together. Anyone want to offer an opinion?

Brandon Boyd

We are the cool kids
We wear the cool clothes
We kick your face in
If you mess with us
We don't answer why
'Cause everybody knows
We are the cool kids

We are the cool kids
We don't have to try
We keep the fat chicks
And the f*gs in line
We just say their names
And we watch them die

And if you think you can hate all of us,
We don't think you will stray very far
Don't you know you love us more than we do?

We are the cool kids, we can smell a lie
You think we like it when we look alike
But we know you by the whites of your eyes

And if you think you can hate all of us,
We don't think you will stray very far
Don't you know you need us more than
We need you?

And I'll smoke what you smoke
And I'll choke if you choke
And we'll joke but we hope we fry away

And if you think you'll erase all of this,
We don't think you will make yourself
Can't you see no one can be Brandon(x4) Boyd?

Well what other option does he have? His lyrics suck so he's trying to feed off of a great band by suggesting the lead singer was a douche.

a thousand more things beat the maze"

BAHAHA!
probably trying to get money from the band or something

s*** happens when you party naked!

Lol what's funny is that if you listen to the new interview with BB, the guy asks him about Sacha Sacket. BB says that he's never even heard of him.

Pardon me!

Good point. Besides, even if he was a d*ck in high school, how many people do you know who aren't proud of who they were in HS?

who wouldn't be jealous?

HAHAHAHAHHAHA

YEP !

MAYBE !

"Everytime You See A Rainbow.......God Is Having Gay Sex"

Oh yeah, I agree about his juvenile lyrics; not many can compare to our boy. Plus, I can't see a mean bone in Brandon's body. I just think Sasha was/is just jealous.

Maybe he doesn't wanna start an old school rap war. I think BB could verbally kick his a*s. The lyrics to that song look like a 7 year old could write them.

Actuallly, everytime I've seen perform this song, youtube, cable, etc, it's usually live on some show and he's never commented on the reason/ meaning of this song. Maybe he's too shy to dish.

Well there are always the cool kids that don't torment others, but don't do anything to stop their friends from tormenting them. Just another possibility.

ooooohhhhhhh

O.o

you're right
we don't know him so well

but he is a really good person
he was so polite with me hihihihi

It sort of confuses me what this guys says though because Brandon Boyd doesn't seem like that like that sort of person... then again we don't actually know BB so for all we know he could be the meanest person ever. Who knows.

Southern Calif. roots

Born in Iran to an Iranian father and British mother, Sacket grew up in California’s sun-baked San Fernando Valley— scene of the ultimate valley-girl movie, "Clueless."

"The high school I went to was not far off," he admitted.

In fact, he attended Calabasas High School alongside future members of Hoobastank, Linkin Park and Incubus, including Incubus singer Brandon Boyd. "Brandon Boyd was definitely the golden god of our high school. He was the most popular kid ever," recalled Sacket. (Boyd's name appears as the title of a song on Lovers & Leaders, a searing portrait of the "cool kids" who brutalize their fellow classmates.)

I heard that song on Itunes and I was like, WTF?
The guy obviously, obviously has a horrible grudge against brandon boyd.
the sad part was, it would have been a good song if he wouldn't have chose to make himself sound like such an a**hole.
sucks for that dude.

The "we don't think you will make yourself" part sounds like a bash

Hm.

Maybe the song is a bash?

AHA

I DON'T GET IT
BUT YEAH THEY WERE AT SCHOOL TOGETHER
--
"You Are Stellar Mr. Boyd"

"It's Time We Met & Made A Mess"

I can't figure out if it is a bash or not either. I finally found the song, of course I actually had to buy it. It doesn't sound bad, but the lyrics can be taken either way. Like, maybe he meant that BB rose above the stupid h/s crap, or maybe he was one of the "cool kids".

I read about this...

That guy Sasha went to high school with Brandon Boyd. I can't remember if the song is an homage or a bash. But I do know it was written about the BB and in my opinion, It seems to be a bash. (But thinking about it, I think it might be an homage... F*ck. School is overtaking the useless info I've absorbed!)
