Their sound is different, chief, I have to agree with you.
But if you check out the very old stuff, it was... well...
Immature, I suppose. I didn't want to use that word.
I still f*ckin' ADORE their old stuff. The beat was ultra
catchy and just... Funkalicious. It was kickass. But as the
music progresses, you realize and you begin to see the
maturity and the growth process the band goes through.
It was unfortunate that Dirk didn't see or understand this.
Eventually, we all grow up, we all mature and form new
ideas and our perspective changes. Ben is just as good
as Dirk, only in a different way. That's all there is to it.
