What Incubus song do you best relate to and why?

I'll start... Pardon Me. It's basically, as you all probably know, about wanting to disappear and getting the hell away from everything... right? Well I feel like that now, stress and not meeting everyone's expectations is very difficult to deal with... anyway, what's your song?

Not a heart attack, they are trying to figure out if it was some weird reaction to his cholesterol medication. Very scary.

Yeah, that situation totally freaked me out, what a wake up call.

That's a really crazy story!
I think it would kind of scare me if I had an experience like that!
I mean it really fits!

In fact I agree with "Warning"
I can perfectly relate to that song, too
But I already wrote about that here before

Oh man, f**k that! What's normal? MAKE YOUR OWN NORMAL!!!!

I'll try to make this short. The usual Incubus songs on our local radio station are usually dig or drive, anyway, for the past 2 days, about the same time in the afternoon on my way home from work, they've been playing Warning. It was like a psychic message, cuz 3 days ago, my best friend's brother-in-law, who is also a good friend, ended up in the hospital cuz his heart just stopped. They save his life, got his heart up and running, are now watching him for a few days, and needless to say, his wife and 2 sons are now happy to have not lost a father/husband.

I'll tell you, someone got called out a warning, don't ever let life pass you by.

I really relate to ACSOG when I have road rage.

I always go back to either "Redefine" or "New Skin" - they are like the genesis of "Make Yourself." It's the same message becoming more articulate and more subtle: you have to make the changes you want to see in yourself before you can see any progress anywhere else. Each album puts out the same idea of grow, change, act, etc. It just isn't as hit-you-over-the-head. "A Certain Shade Of Green" I see as in the same vein as well. But those first two. Can I put the words to "Redefine" with the djembe of "New Skin" and the guitar on "A Certain Shade of Green" together?

yeah i think we all kind of feel that way.
it's kind of crappy, but you've got to make the most of what you have
^_^

right know it's Nowhere Fast
it feels kind of like

"...I'm going nowhere really f**king fast
Nowhere fast
Will I ever get to where I'm going?
If I do will I know when I am there?
If the wind blew me in the right direction
Would I even care?
I would"

Warning
She woke in the morning.
She knew that her life had passed her by
She called out a warning.
Don't ever let life pass you by.

I can relate to some incubus songs and i think it depends on the situation of my life...Sometimes I could relate to Love Hurts, Quicksand and Paper shoes if I feel a little broken hearted.

Most of the time i can relate to the song "drive" and I even made it's chorus as one of my Philosophies in life...

Punch Drunk...

Because I recently moved to Canada from Scotland and I'm somewhat alone here. And I feel like I need someone to take me home (or rather make me feel like this is home). And dig of course... but on a happier feel - I'd say Are You In? Because I just love it when everyone is together having fun!!!

Lol that's deep blackbyrd.

Pardon me!

haaahahaha blackbyrd
thanks for a good laugh

Phazonin- last time I checked The Warmth is on Make Yourself and several people stated that they relate to that song.

"For every one thing we're ignorant of

Of course, Make Yourself is such an inspriation. It reminds me to live to the beat of my own drum so to speak. "If I hadn't made me, I'd be more inclined to bow. Powers that be, would have swallowed me up and that's more than I can allow. Why not try and make yourself?"
What a great message man! I hate when people only do what they're told and can't think for themselves.

No one relates to SCIENCE or Make Yourself???

Pardon me!

Probably quicksand, I can relate with that song in so many ways, not just by falling in love, also with relationships with friends and family. I dont its just represents alot of aspects of my life, From were I work to what I actually do.
I know is more of an Intro in the light granade album, but Its meaningfull for my life.

"...Im Counting UFO´s..."

Echo- I definitely believe that my biggest fear could be my savior.
Diamonds and Coal- it describes my current relationship very well.

"For every one thing we're ignorant of

I love The Warmth too but right now I relate to Punch Drunk. It's just a song about my life.
"On this island I am stuck
Could you correct my crooked life?" Smiling

to think that one's actions could please the masses is indeed a notion bound in irony;
someone will inevitably find something wrong in almost everything.
so do what it is that you do best and remember to have enough tolerance for two.

Yep, I agree.
The Warmth is definetely a great song with a great message!

But I can also relate perfectly to Warning.
This song just got me and the lyrics are stuck in my head forever!
In my opinion everyone should think about the lyrics because I think it's a very important subject!

"I suggest we learn to love ourselves before it's made illegal
when will we learn, when will we change
Just in time to see it all come down

id like to say the warmth because i do so love this song. but time and time again i find strength and comfort in " drive" . alot of stuff happens in a life time. not just me but in anyones life time and drive reminds me that iam/ we are not just victims. we can act and make choices . we can decide for ourselves.

the warmth

yep !

"The Warmth" it's my Favorite Song !
It's Awesome.
How You Said Before.

Don't Let The World Bring You Down

om my god !

amazing.

"Everytime You See A Rainbow.......God Is Having Gay Sex"

I can relate to "The Warmth" most easily. I think that everybody can realte to it if they try, though. Just don't get caught up in everything, because you can't really change how everybody else acts. Don't worry about the people that try to make you feel bad because they don't matter in the long run. It's a very inspiring song.

I can relate to alot of Incubus songs......but "Quicksand" came to my mind right off with a couple of others. "Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand, I hover somewhere in between...I can't make up my mind!" I remember when I first
played LG and heard the opening song, after it finished I went back and played it again. Wow,
someone relates, and it just happened to be Mr. Boyd. Being able to relate to alot of INCUBUS
songs is one reason they're the BEST!
