So you had front row seats/front of the pit for a show! Have any of you talked to the guys on stage?

What's it like!?

hellooo everyone
first post, sweet deal

anyways, i haven't had the chance to see incubus yet (hopefully someday sooon!) so i'm just curious, all you guys that have gotten front row, how early do you usually get there? and judging by pictures and stuff the crowds look massive, do they get pretty brutal?

Hi. Old newbie here. Or new oldbie. New name at the very least. It's so weird making your first post.

I've been to seven shows now but never met anyone in the band. I *did* have this freak piece of luck once and for Lollapalooza 2003 I won pit tickets in this insane pre-sale lottery. So basically if you breathed hard enough you hit someone onstage. It was weird being so..privileged. Right before Incubus came on I ran out to get something to drink and I saw a stall where they were selling woven bracelets. I can't say no to bracelets, so I bought a purple one with a mushroom bead on it. I get back to the front and in a minute Incubus started playing. Two songs in and I made some dumb hand gesture in the air. It caught Mr. Boyd's eye and he walked over to where my girlfriend and I were standing, pointed at me and then sang the next line while looking down on me. I was probably just...gaping, I dunno. It was a moment, though - I'm easy to please. Oh - it was the first time I saw Ben K. in the flesh and I thought "WOW! This is gonna work out well."

Verdict: proximity is good. I recommend it. Later, my girlfriend was graced with a smile from Chris Cornell (yes, he smiles) and HER day in the sun was made. And I caught one of Josh Homme's guitar picks and gave it to the guy behind me who asked me very, very sweetly if I was all that attached to it. So he left happy. I still have the t-shirt I wore that day but the bracelet is always going AWOL.

So does everyone else. LOL

I'll laugh if someone actually thinks I'm being serious.

It's the best thing in the world when you get to lock eyes with that gorgeous BB.

I've been right at the front, against the barrier in their show at Brixton, London and even that made me feel wobbly and flushed haha. If i'd have the opportunity to talk to them, i'd probably have cried :|

Laughing out loud

Faint you say..that´s the whole point of it...if your body is strong enough to keep up...then you let your mind go away, crash; you´re not just feeling it, you´re saving that instant for the rest of the rest...next time you go first row, let yourself have a mental faint.

If I ever get front row to one of their concerts I think I might faint.

Because Pokemon rocks. Sticking out tongue

i was front row at the brixton gig on sunday, was awesome having a clear view of the guys, it made it feel alot different to being further back. in ways i missed kind of getting shoved around and jumping on people, but to be so close to them was real real special. got some awesome photos.

It's a really cool feeling to be right up against the gate. It's even better when you are able to make eye contact, it makes it feel like they are playing only for you. The only part that sucks is all the pushing from behind you. If your not careful, you'll lose your spot very quickly.

Next time I'm getting front row. ^_^

I must see him up close when he takes his shirt off.. or pants(which he'll never do) ^_^;

I’ve got a dark alley and a bad idea that says you should shut your mouth. Sticking out tongue

Its like they are performing for you, and there is a million people behind you pushing to get closer. Basically your holding tha crowd back. But hella yeah its worth the bruises and awkward closeness of others

You smell lets go shower!

I'm always in the front row, on music festivals, at concerts.. everywhere.. the most amazing thing happened on Werchter in Belgium (this year), I was in front of Ben and when Warning started (which is my favourite song) Brandon walked around and started singing when he was standing in front of me Laughing out loud it was raining and cold, but I was warm, because I adore that song Smiling

Pokemon! Gotta catch 'em all!

Palkia and Dialga rule!

awww, poor little Fall Out is jealous Sad

Well, I waited 8 years to see 'em for the first time last night and missed the gig in Notts almost entirely. Once I finally got there I basically walked into a room with Incubus playing and walked out 15mins/four songs later(cause it ended!)........ Absolutely wounded, it is not even funny.

That has to of been the strangest night of my life. Im just sat here confused.

It was pretty good though?????

I bet your kiss to Brandon was disgusting. Sticking out tongue

And that's awesome, doubled. Smiling

Dlatego że ja jestem bardziej więcej gorętszy niż wy.

ha i was front row in austin at the backyard...i got inline at 8:00 a.m. and was first in the door. i picked a bad ass spot right infront of mike cause i know brandon walks around so i wouldnt be able to be ifront of him the whole time so i got infront of mike cause he stays in one spot the whole time...half way throught the concert they were in the middle of rockin out on nowhere fast and then all of them just stop playing all at once and it got real quite and i yelled at d.j. kilmore to hit my blunt and he looked up pointed at me and shook his head laughing...then after mikey's solo where brandon did the light show with the spot lights i started yellin at mike sayin how bad ass he was and he looked down at me cause he was right infront of me about 3 yards away and threw me his pick! wich i now have and am waiting to get signed!

Not everyone here is that f***ed up and cold

I was not front row, but 5th and it was awesome to be that close and be able to see their facial expressions and make eye contact.

I must admit that I was transfixed on Brandon for the majority of the show. He doesn't have his eyes open much, lol, but I did throw him a kiss at the end of the show and he reciprocated...yes, my heart did skip a beat or two!

I even have it on video (my friend was videoing the last song on her camera)!!

I didn't have front row. -_-

I could bearly see the damn band playing. :|

Yes it is awesome! After they were finished, they were backstage really quickly. I really would have loved to had a chance to interact with them, but honestly, I don't know that I would be able to talk. The show seemed to go by so fast. It was soooo good. I paid a lot of $ and I would pay more if given the chance again. I tried to get a seat on Brandon's lap, but there weren't any available. (joking)

It always felt like quicksand to me.

It's the most amazing atmosphere when you're front row. You can feel all the songs in your heart and...I'm trying to describe it but, I seriously can't. It's just amazing.
