Just because their music isn't as hard as it use to be doesn't necessarily mean that they're sellouts.
Perhaps they're experimenting? Tastes change, anyways. They could have gotten sick of the way they sounded before and didn't want to become monotonous. Who the f*** knows? It doesn't really matter seeing as they were amazing back in the day, and they're still amazing now. I'm not trying to be an ass, I just don't think it's fair to say they're sellouts because the sound of they're music changed over the past decade. As for dirk, I have no idea. Things happen, I know I am one to get really pissed when people leave bands that I love, but I never felt supremely attached to Dirk. He didn't really seem to flow with everyone like Ben does. But I do feel bad for him, whatever happened to him :/

Hey dude i do understand where your coming from about the old school Incubus a lot of my freinds felt the same way. That they sold out and there was an interview back when they relaesed Science and Brandon said they were going to stick with the harder sounding rock, but let's face it's really not up to Incubus it's up to the record company's and they decide what they think we would like. So you really think that happened to Dirk. I think I smell a conspiracy. I dont know.

I think that the guys in Incubus knew Ben while Dirk was in the band, wanted Ben in the band and found a way to whack Dirk. I think the whole thing sucks! They could have found a way to talk things out and keep Dirk in the band. Man! I have been a fan since the SCIENCE album and to see how Incubus has changed so much has made me sick. Whatever happened to the hard songs, the energy? Whatever happened to the dreads? Can I hear SELLOUT!! Sorry but if I see Brandon on the cover of teen magazine or whatever again that's it.

Even though he was an 'ass' he was sexy.. I could totally bang him. ^_^;;

And without him the band wouldn't be as famous(EVEN IF HE WASN'T IN THE BAND THOUGH). ://

Ben Kenney is frikken awesome!!
Although he doesn't do slap as well as Dirk did, Ben brings his own style and melodic approach and i think thats part of why Incubus are still sounding so original and fresh.

I saw a interview in mtv.There Chris Kilmore explain that Dirk want to do different music.I think that a lot of band has broken for this reason.When Dirk went, incubus met Ben.I know incubus after dirk left the band, but i undestand that you miss him.(sorry for my english, i'm spanish and I don't speak in English very well)
