You gave me space to write so....I will. But I promise I won't be long.....
I just wanna share 10 experiences of how being a Incubus fan feels like to me.
1) I cannot choose my favourite record or song.
2) The first song I heard was Drive, and even though it's really cool and all, I'd rather skip it nowadays.... sorry...
3) I bought a ticket to my first incubus concert, and every time I see it I open this huge smile and wonder how is it gonna be.
4) And of course in my thoughts I imagine you waving at me, or me at the backstage talking non-sense cuz I'm reeeally nervous, or me singing the songs so loud and my heart beating so fast that at about the third song I'm passing out.
5) Looooots of songs (especially the lyrics) represented thoghts of mine, and felt like been taken out of my tongue.
6) I don't see the songs you played at other concerts so I'd be surprised on the show.
7) Every time somebody hears or reads Incubus, they think of me.
I love the way you interact with your fans, especially on the smallest shows, the dig video contest, podcasts and this site. You don't create that huge space among "stars" and "average people" that many artists crave, and even though you don't read it all, you seem closer.... at least I feel that way.
9) My kids will hear Incubus.
10) Well, you are probably some band's huge fans and you know how fans are.... they get all excited when get news, and say all these complements, and wish luck, and "You are awesome", "I'm your biggest fan ever", "Your iniciative with the foundation rocks".... They also know the lyrics and melodies upsidedown..... So, I'm not gonna put you through this, ok?
You must agree that without us most of it wouldn't make sense, right?
Ok, ok, you're welcome!
