As soon as I heard about the Smokeout I was dead-set on going. I love love love Incubus and love love love Manu Chao but when I thought of how much I would spend not only on tix but gas (driving 6 hrs from Phoenix), food, etc. my excitement slowly waned into disappointment. If I could afford to go this comment would be much happier...I'll just have to see you guys when you come round my way :'(

I've been checking the smokeout site everyday so far and from what i see INCUBUS isn't on the list for meet and greet!!!! i thought all VIP tix holders got a chance to meet with the band i hope i do get to meet them cuz that would truly suck if I spent half a paycheck to see them....and ONLY them. they're my only sole reason for even getting the tix to this festival.

i bought my vip ticket already and the only reason is cause i wanna meet u guys ive also been checking and i dont see you guys to meet and greet and that cant be i hope all vip holders get to meet you guys that would b a real shame cause ive been waitin a long time for this oppurtunity! you been my fav band of all time!

I've been wanting to see the band for a number of years. I really like a number of their songs and their sound. When I saw they were headlining at Smokeout last weekend I bought tickets are drove to LA just for the show. The festival was really great and the sound all day was banging. My son and I took a break, skipping one of his childhood favorites (Manu Chao) to preserve our bodies and ears for Incubus. We worked our way thru the crowd during the break and planted ourselves in front of the mixing equipment, usually the best location, and were treated to a fantastic set by the band. We were close enough to see how hard they worked to put on a great show and they played some new stuff which was great and a lot of my favorite songs. However, although Brandon, Jose and DJ Kilmore were loud enough to have some impact, Mike and Ben were not just buried in the mix but just not loud enough ever to impart the music with feeling. You could see the flatness of the performance in the crowd as well, who were clearly knowledgeable fans and appreciative but waiting for the magic that never came. It was a letdown that I never expected from this group. I ended up wondering if there is a reason why the band doesn't play loud, somebodies ears are injured or they are protecting us from ourselves or something. Wondered if anybody else was there or had any thoughts. I'd drive 500 miles to see them again tomorrow if I thought this was an anomaly but otherwise I'll stick to my car and living room.

Best rock show I've ever seen.

Lets see where do i begin... i am very disappointed for one big reason. i and a friend attended the smokeout and i had purchased the " V.I.P " tickets so i can meet incubus. O n that day happened to be my birthday another reason why i wanted to see them. But i was wrong i didn't get a chance to meet them i was very sad i drove 300 miles to go there and spend some cash i really shouldn't i have spent. Don't get me wrong the show was awesome and they sang all the right songs i needed to hear man it was awesome..(...exhale...) but i was really trying to meet them one of my dreams. i guess that i should just dream on cause even though i was so close yet i was so far. i was heartbroken so on and so forth. My daughter even thought i was going to see you guys so when i came she asked and i had to tell her i didn't get to see you guys. very very tragic lol. But in a serious note next time you guys have a concert i need to meet you guys i wasted 460 dollars cash money in which i thought it was for you guys so next time please just let me know if your going to come out please i really hope you guys read this if so thank you for taking the time to read this and thanks for the show on my birthday. o n mike ur awesome =) till next time keep it lit!
