"Love Hurts" 10/16/08
... However, I have to agree that this concert was just... well... bad. I saw end.vacuum last year and LOVED it! Mike did a fantastic job on it! And knowing the inspiration for his piece in West Coast, Left Coast helped redeem it a little... But in all honesty, it's just noise. Sorry. And i know all the scensters are out there saying "it's art! You just don't understand it!"... But they're just incapable of making their own decisions. BUT I STILL LOVE YOU MIKE & INCUBUS!! I wish your guitar was louder at the show! : )
Ugghh... I made the huge mistake of going to this event. I literally had to plug my ears. Painful.
He looks more like Anthony Keides from RHCP haha
Man, fix it!! This link doesn't work!!

Brilliant.
"it's art! You just don't understand it!" LOL tuned noise perhaps?? XD
To me this was truly inspirational. You could see each instrument moving in a different direction with each beat. And still the mix didn't clash in any given moment. I believe most Incubus fans would feel awkward after seeing Mike play a composition out of their comfort zone. But when you heard this with a child-like open mind you could enjoy it the way it was supposed to. The closest science and art will be to holding hands together LOL .
I didn't like that it was shorter than I had expected :S.
I also was left breathless with the jam between Mike, the Kronos Quartet, Matmos and Terry Riley.
That was when you could distinguish Mike's guitar amongst the other players' parts.
Matmos' weird electronic compositions. Kronos' short but melodic pieces, and Terry's harmonies and melodies in the background holding it all together.
