woah...it's like my relationship with my girl. We are extremely different and we are trying to mix it up. yeah just like oil and water.

it was a love story of two people, we all know that, but i wonder if they break up already..hehehe

Don't know that the expression "anchors on my shoulders" is an idiom, but Brandon is using it as a metaphor to say that the relationship is weighing heavily on him. He's trying to smile but all the while, he's feeling the terrible weight of their problems bearing down on him.

i can understand what the song is about as a whole, but i mean that one line "smiling with anchors on my shoulders". it's an idiom for something but i can't remember what.

I think it's about a relationship that went wrong. But neither one of them really knows why...or something like that. Like, they're both different but at the same time, they're perfectly matched for each other. And they try to work it out but...it doesn't help.

I'm pretty sure that's what Brandon told me it was about...if I remember right. haha.

Oh.
I see. Hmmm...I'm not sure.
Her lying and everything maybe?
But yet he's still happy being with her?
Just a guess.

I'm pretty sure it's like "carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders". You may have all these burdens on you, but you still smile.

Oil and Water can not mix, when added together, they remain suspended and separate. I won't even try to interperate the song itself, but I gave you my technical interpretation of the title.

Exactly what I was trying to say.
They're in their relationship and things don't work out but they try to make them work and it doesn't happen. haha.
