I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... Incubus has a lot to bring to the table. It's pretty much 5 wonderful guys meeting in the middle to create extraordinary music. I love how their songs do not sound exactly alike one another. That would be pretty boring. Instead, they change it up and leave us anticipated for more. I first heard this band when I was in the 4th grade. I would visit my cousin often, and he would always be playing Make Yourself. That did it for me. I mean, have you heard Drive? I think that was the song that most stuck out to me. Unfortunately, it wasn't until high school that I realized Incubus was my favorite band. It was a band that never disappointed me; it was then that I noticed this awesome quality of theirs. Luckily, I finally got to see them live one week ago, at the Hollywood Bowl. The show was AMAZING. You know some of those bands that sound not as great live than as they do in the studio? Incubus isn't one of them. Incubus is a band that sounds insanely better onstage. Other bands sort of touch-up their music more. Well July 13, 2009 became the best day of my life! My dream finally came true and I got to experience their lovely music. I have also gotten to meet pretty awesome people because of this band. (Shout-out to all my Incubuddies!) And how can you compare Brandon's lovely vocals? And have you heard Mikey on the guitar? It's crazy! All of the boys are amazing. Ben Kenney also works wonders along with Jose and Chris. The fact that I don't have ONE favorite song is just a compliment. I could never choose. I guess Incubus will always be my number 1 band. I have never considered changing their spot on my "top bands" list. I haven't been a fan since the beginning; I mean, come on, I'm only as old as the band itself. Yes, 17 years old, going on 18. But I do cherish what I have been able to enjoy from this band.
We all have our own opinions because music is subjective. We can't please everyone, and that's okay. But I do know that Incubus fans are the best! Incubus will always have a special place in my heart. I just love hearing Incubus, all day, everyday. When words fail, music speaks. And Incubus has certainly taught me that. Because at the end of the day, Incubus just does it for me.
Incubus fan forever, (and that's a mighty long time)
Claudia.
well..
Yeah, I was expecting less than $100. The event was still awesome. Anyway, Incubus fans are far more hardcore than Kanye fans...
