I'm a fan (and you should be too) because, not only is their music amazing but in my opinion it speaks to people.
I remember when I was in my freshmen year of High school, sitting at home on my couch (Indian Style) bored as hell watching MTV eating (peanut butter, yes peanut butter) and basically just zoned out eyes glued to the T.V. I was going through some tough times and I remember feeling so angry, lost, scared, basically having every emotion sucked out of me.
This video came on to the T.V. and caught my attention from the moment I saw this girl screaming out on the top of her lungs "Warning" people. She looked broken down to the point of no return and I remember feeling that girl in the hoodie was me.
Music for the first time meant something to me. I could never relate to the music (Rap & R&B) that I would listen to or was surrounded by. Even after I saw that video I still didn't know who Incubus was because I was in such a trans i didn't catch who the band was.
One night my brother came into my room to show me music that he was discovering and this song "Are You In?" was on my stereo. I thought the song was so Fun and unreal to me because how can someone put out music like that. He told me who it was and then I started to explore this so called group Incubus and came to discover they were the same band that had that amazing video I once saw.
I searched all their music and later bought all their CD's, DVD's, posters, books, I have seen the 3 times, and going to see them for the fourth time Aug 25h.
I Love this group they are and have been the only band who I relate to, to the point I feel they write their music for me. They are inspirational group. Incubus opened up a whole new world, and meaning for music to me.
And that's why I'm a fan.
Good way to start the Semester
Hell of an awesome show. Seen Incubus 4 times 4 different venues, and every show has been great. This show was my favorite so far.. What a way to end the concert with Lets Go Crazy!! Oh man no one will be able to pull of a Prince cover the way they did. Amazing show and a good time, loved it. Did wish they played more from Science, but still was a GREAT concert!!!!
