I'm a fan because...
I have been listening to Incubus for over 12 years now and I cannot get enough. People make fun of me for it. hehe. The lyrics and sound is so real and inviting. I can relate to many of the songs and I like to feel like I've been whisked away into a faraway fantasyland sometimes. These words get to the core of emotion and activism. Incubus does so much good for this world. The first concert I had ever seen them in was only $25 a ticket because it was going for something else, sponsored by a company. It's just amazing to me that these guys, this group of "brothers" are so selfless in their work. I'm sure touring and everything can take it's toll (like Mikey needing surgery on his hand) and get exhausting but they continue on and realize how many fans look up to them and admire them as much as I do. I'm just stunned. Not to mention the Make Yourself Foundation which I think is such a wonderful thing. I don't think I've ever felt as much for a band as I do for Incubus. They seem to enjoy every bit of it, having fun with it, goofing around even though sometimes publicity and media can get annoying, but I haven't heard a negative thing about them, they're so positive. I'm so proud to have had Incubus in my generation. I know it sounds cheesy and all, but this music has really influenced the person I once was into taking action for myself to become the person I am now and I thank them for it. Sometimes this world can be difficult to live in day to day. Incubus keeps it in perspective and makes it a little easier to deal with. I know we should all be inspired by ourselves, but what's wrong with a little help along the way?
