Tough Act To Follow
The band tokk three years to come out with Crow after their release of Morning View, which was arguably their most prestigious project to date. Not only did the View have several mainstream success stories in the forms of Wish You Were Here and the others, but the tunes that never hit the radio are some of the best written songs in the last ten years of rock music. Morning View was such a smashing release for them, I'm not surprised that many fans, including myself, could not embrace Crow with such open arms.
Steady Decline
I'm sure many young, new fans of the band found a way to fall in love with this album. Unfortunately for me, I grew up with Make Yourself and S.C.I.E.N.C.E.: I fell in love with the kick-ass Incubus. As a musician, I have a great respect for the songs they have written on Crow and Light Grenades, but I always hoped that they would find new ways to keep the Nu-Metal alive, and leave the hippie rock to the hippies. Still love and support the band, but these are my feelings.

The Masterpiece
It is hard to review the View with any sort of objective eye; what criticism can I think of?
