Incubus sets the standard for what today's bands should do in order to be deemed "successful". Through their non-profit work and global awareness with the Make Yourself Foundation, they have gone above and beyond what it means to be a rock band. They also raised the bar for touring acts when they made this summer's Light Grenades tour more sustainable than ever before by implementing alternative energy sources, providing recycling bins for their fans at each show, selling merch made from sustainable materials and inviting local non-profits in to help boost awareness about global warming.

On top of this, the guys write some pretty sick tunes that I feel are creatively unmatched by today's cookie-cutter, one-hit-wonders that are currently being signed to major labels. Whatever happened to artist development, kids? It's been rad to watch Incubus grow and change their sound, style and inspiration over the years... it just keeps getting better.
