My Reviews & Blog
i'm currently studying in the state of kentucky in a drab little town called greenville. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!! this has got to be the most boring, repugnant place i have ever been. every single person here is missing teeth, crosseyed, and drunk 24/7. and it's not the cool, fun kind of drunk. it's the really vulgar, disgusting kind of drunk. and the weather is absurd. i haven't been able to show off my brand new rolling stones t-shirt because i always have to wear a jacket. i love the cold. i'd rather be cold than sweat all day. but, this is intensely cold. this is icycles-from-your-rooftop cold. this is snowing-every-single-day cold. i miss sunny california. carlifornia is beautiful 365 days a year. always. not to mention there is not a single beach anywhere in kentucky. i wanna surf! i want sunshine. snow was a refreshing change the first couple of days. BUT IT HASN'T STOPPED SNOWING!!!!! we are in the middle of february! it's spring! what kind of crazy state is this!?!?!?
back in these days, it was thought that the great dirty sanchez would be gracing all of our favorite band's albums. brandon, mike, jose, change and evolution are always a beautiful thing, but never forget your roots!

the groundbreaker
this is the album that put incubus on the map. it's where all their hard work finally paid off, and they deserved it. killa really strutted his stuff on this one, too. but, since then, they haven't quite made as much use of his skills. is chris gonna end up like alex.......?

damn you, epic!
epic needs to lay off poor incubus and let them make another one like this one. the world needs more music like this. it has the power to change things.

these guys never cease to astonish. 4 weeks, ladies and gentleman. that's how long it took these guys to record this album. that's the power of inspiration.

the best
never before have i ever heard a more perfect album than this one. and i have an extremely expansive CD collection. this is the greatest work of art ever created on the canvas of music. i believe that someday, in the near future, incubus will be revered in such ways as the beatles and the rolling stones. and it will be because of poetry such as circles, warning, under my umbrella, and of course, the infamous i wish you were here. incubus needs to come visit malibu, california again and return to their center the way they did with this album.

the other day, i did something amazing. something that i will never forget for as long as i live. i've been listening to incubus since my childhood, and i've already epiremented with psychodellic mushrooms a number of times. but not until the other night did i expirement with BOTH. ladies and gentlemen, never in my entire life have i ever felt a euphoria such as that. other than sex on mushrooms, it had to be the most beautiful experience of my life. i highly recomend it to everyone. and if you dont do drugs.........why are you even listening to incubus? lol. that was a joke, folks.
when incubus attacks........
when incubus attacks, they create a crater on the surface of the planet upon wich transluscently colored, pshycodellic mushrooms grow bountifully..........now who's had that fantasy, eh? lol.
the facts
i'm gonna speak frankly and realistically. folks, as true fans, you should all do the same as well. light grenades, to me, seems like a deeply personal album. brandons' lyrics have really seemed to take a turn in this one. but, by no means is it for the worse. it's simply something that some of us seasoned fans are not accustomed to. but, that doesn't make it a bad album. personaly, my favorite album remains "morning view". but, one of the most beatiful things about incubus (other than the awesome trip that every song tends to take you on) is the diversity that their music has to offer. i have every single album incubus has ever released. and i have yet to see two of them that are identical (other than fungus amongus and enjoy incubus, but that's just because their one and the same in many ways). i enjoyed light grenades alot. and incubus still can do no wrong in my eyes. but, everyone can always do better.

it's always fun to find out what your favorite bands were doing before fame and success became part of their lives. back when they were alot like us, trying to make their mark on this tiny, insignificant planet by doing what they love the most. cheers to incubus! may the true musicians of our time live long and prosper.
