MMM

curse ye typos! i was skimming through old entries and i came across so much. this is where revision's importance is proven.

this is livin'. this week has been so good so far for a number of reasons, but i'll save the details.

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it but I write for this wonderful website called What Gives?! It was created by employees of eBay Giving Works (eBay's charity division) and we write about social good going on in the world. Give it a look and sign up for the site to participate in discussions! i appreciate this quote:

"I can't criticize what I don't understand. If you want to call this art, you've got the benefit of all my doubts."
-- Charles Rosin

my blogs are still here! thank goodness. well this quarter is just about done. i'm kind of sad it's over, but i'm ready for summer. i have lots planned and am looking forward to summer school. i will be studying poetry under a renowned poet and am hoping to also seek the mentorship of a "master of the short story." superb. i have a hefty reading list, and a number of things i am to write and draft. i'm very happy to have decided on creative writing. one of the best decisions i've ever made and boy, was it a hard one to make.

=[

my blogs really ARE gone!

well, i'll stick to writing in my real journal then:

tianamayumi.livejournal.com

and check out this website while you're at it:

WHERE'D MY WORDS GO?!

i've blogged many a time! =[

i came on here to say i love incubus,
but now i'm filled with sadness. i hope
you guys are just fixing the blog feature.

wooooooohoooooooo, excessive drinking, skin damage and STD city right?

no. no, not at all.

but that does not mean i don't know how to get down. i get down hardcore, yo. i've spent the last 72 hours eating, coloring, bargain shopping and running errands. today i played lots of fun games with my baby cousins and had egg fights with my aunts and uncles. =] muy fantastico!

i intend to apply for as many scholarships as i possibly can because school and living is expensive, find a job that will fit my schedule, continue watching season 2 and 3 of arrested development (i have a newfound appreciation for cutoff jeans), exercise, write my articles, figure out my living situation and clean! i'll link you to the wonderful website we're working on once i get the okay!

i started off my spring break by watching this very inspirational speech. i hope it inspires you as much as it inspired me. =]

dear journal,

it's so weird for me to log onto this site and see this journal untouched for weeks. my other journal is updated just about every other day! so let me take a break from writing this darn paper to blog here. this quarter is winding down and i can feeeeel the pressure. not good very bad. i set my schedule for next quarter and it's going to be tough but fun yet again. i have two upper div english classes (may drop one for a "fun" class. i want to audit a science class relating to animals or the environment...i really miss labs. or physics.), this philosophy class on symbolic logic annnd a fiction writing workshop. should be great. i'm hoping i'll be forced to pump out a lot of stories in my workshop. i have so many ideas but i am always too distracted to write them out. i'm going to knock out my foreign language classes by studying abroad in a latin country. i feel like i should immerse myself in my culture and language to really pick it all up. i will do the same with japanese. i need to get closer to my roots. i've decided to minor in philosophy. creative writing and philosophy should go great with my background in psychology and film. :] my existentialism class is so intriguing and i want to learn more! i am infatuated with ayn rand too. i want to learn all i can regarding objectivism. i'm falling in like with baudelaire's prose poetry. it feels so personal, like i'm reading directly out of his journal...probing his mind. excellent. this quote stood out:

"the poet enjoys the incomparable privilege of being able to be himself or some one else, as he chooses. like those wandering souls who go looking for a body, he enters as he likes into each man's personality. for him alone everything is vacant; and if certain places seem closed to him, it is only becuse in his eyes they are not worth visiting."
